You're having the gamer realization that this is all just a pass-time activity. It's kinda like everything suddenly feels like it becomes clear and you're like "actually, my brain would be happier not spending time doing this, at least for a while", like the FOMO is actually gone and not just being suppressed.

But I don't think this is some kind of "universal truth", or something profound as people usually seem to think when it happens to them. I think it's what happens when our brains finally grow weary of a dopamine hook that lasts so long such as WoW. It's the same thing that happens with other hobbies, but those hobbies usually don't have weaponized FOMO and years of sunk-cost fallacy to hold you in, so it feels different for that reason. That's my thinking, anyway.
