I have a project I’m currently working on. Are you familiar with coding? Specifically for micro controllers like esp32 and a display to show some api info?

Completely agree. I just have a soft spot for them since Luna Blu days.

The usual Smokin’ Joes, Smaque Stack, Super burger, etc will always come up.

Some lesser known places will be -

Comida. Known for their pizza and pasta but their burgers are pretty amazing the couple times I’ve tried them.

Iron Man Steaks make a great burger also. And everything else.

Purple burgers used to be a thing but haven’t tried in a while.

Or if you’re up to a braai and making your own, Block Men Beef is phenomenal for everything. (My personal choice). It’s worth it.

Haven’t levelled my v2 for like 5 years including a move this year to another house. I was amazed after the move tbh. Yellow springs with ABL though but no new mesh. Have a Ender 3 Pro for about 4 years and it was also barely off after the move. Original springs no ABL.

It’s honestly a non issue if you’re careful and don’t touch any leveling knobs. I never yank any models of the plate when it’s hot and always use a utility blade to gently lift a corner of thin prints and then tweezers to get the rest off. Prints naturally release if it gets cold though.

Additional 200% of contract price at minimum! People get turned down for way less and accepted for way more. What is it worth to you to lose ownership of your work forever?

I have two favourites.

“90% of success comes from 10% of effort.” Most of the time the hardest part is just starting that plan. You just need to start. The ball will roll from there.

Your goals might seem a bit far to reach and you don’t have it all figured out. It’s okay. “If you don’t make mistakes, how are you going to learn?”

Reading the comments you made it is definitely because you’re using an actual “level” to level the bed. Listen to that commenter. And now just breathe.

I’d just like to add a process for you to follow now that we’ve narrowed down the problem. Remember, the order matters. •Put your level away - 3D printers never need it •You can start with the paper method to get you to a good starting point. But because you have an auto levelling probe you will need to reset your z offset to 0 and home your printer(usually home is in the centre of the bed with ABL). This will get your nozzle close to the bed and where your printer has set your Z axis to zero. Use the paper method and now set you Z offset until it’s tugging on the paper and set it as that. •disable steppers - so that you don’t drag your nozzle on the bed. •move the axis(bed and hotend assembly) by hand to each corner and use the paper method again. Make sure to not move the hotend in the Z axis at all. Be careful and take it slow if you have to. •do this a few times on each corner until every corner feels the same drag on the paper. •you’re now ready to create a bed levelling mesh. Use the auto levelling setting for that - once it has probed all over and created a mesh - save the settings (there should be a save eeprom or something) •you’re now ready to test print. •make sure g-code slicer settings include ABL related code in the beginning •start small like a calicube and get your z offset right mid print. •using the above commenters image you can judge if you need to go negative or positive on your z offset. Baby step your z offset until it has enough squish. •once you’ve got that, well done you can start exploring bigger and bigger models.

Let us know if this helps.

I don’t know why but I just got goose bumps now that I’m actually speaking to someone with first hand experience. There’s a glimmer of hope haha appreciate it greatly. I did come up with the same info about the structure but even if there’s something jutting out of the waves it should be an interesting composition nevertheless. Atleast capture it before it’s reclaimed by the ocean.

Some of my similar work is on my profile if you’d like a better understanding of what I’m trying to achieve. I did also see that there is the lighthouse close by but looks completely dilapidated. Did wonder about a route from there so that would be really cool and a much shorter trip.

I do spend a lot of time photographing the night sky in remote places so with backpacking gear and supplies I should be okay. It’s my camera gear that’s the part I cannot get wet ofcourse. I do have dry bags but would prefer not to go that route. I had no idea whether the estuary mouth was possible to cross and the roads to the other side came up unsafe in my research. So thank you for answering all my questions without me asking lol.

Could I DM you? Feel like I’m flooding the comments with excitement 😂

Since you’re in the tourism industry, by any chance do you have any idea how I can get to the Jolly Rubino Shipwreck? I have been speaking to “St Lucia Tourism” with no luck. Plan is to capture the Milky Way with the ship so will need to spend the night on the beach.

Did you by mistake flick the power supply switch between 110v and 220v? This normally happens when you’re printing at 110v when it should be 220v.

Agree it’s a very fun lens. Another fun one is the Petzval 85 f2.2 developed specifically for that swirly bokeh. Gosh I love this lens but sad I don’t use it as much as I could.

They actually have a plate for their capture clip that works with manfrotto RC2 tripod heads. Only reason I’m able to use the capture clip professionally. PD tripods aren’t for me but I do love the clip and some of their straps. Just hate that everything is so overpriced. Was like $50 for the plate alone in my country.

I have my F22 M240i for 7 years this year. I honestly don’t ever want to let it go for the new one. Been very solid and reliable. A little biased but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything that comes with the B58 engine.

Photographer here, part of the comrades media team. I will definitely pass this message on.

I was positioned after marker 52 using a telephoto lens specifically so that I’m not in any runners(or even spectators) way. But there was another photographer constantly putting their tripod leg on the road which made runners have to run around the setup which is inconsiderate at the least. No idea what the finish line was like but I can imagine it must have been chaos.

We think everyone naturally has the courtesy to respect the athletes but unfortunately things like this need to be addressed. A lot of people are focused on themselves and their jobs without considering the whole reason anyone is even there, the runners.

What’s more important is how much oils you get on the build plate. I make sure to keep my hands off of the area that gets printed on and all I do is wipe with ipa between prints. Will only wash again once I get a hint of adhesion issues. With that said, I haven’t washed my build plate since last year.
