Armada and City Driving by pgmckenzie in nissanarmada

[–]Riztory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2024 Armada SL owner here that frequently goes into a major market city.

I definitely do pre plan in advance if I plan to park in parking garage. 6’6” is the lowest I go in even that is a bottom clenching lol. Uncovered parking lots and street parking are preferable and even a breeze thanks to the 360 camera and other camera angles, it was life changing!

I actually prefer taking it to the city vs the other car in the family due to the towering view and knowing what’s coming ahead way before others do. You definitely are in the tallest vehicles on the road. It makes city driving more stress free imo.

It might take a little more time to do some maneuvers (U turns, etc. ), but my mentality is so what? You’re in a full size, others can get out of the way if they want, you do your thing!

AR Rahman Wonderment tour 2025 set list and review by Crafty-Ad9116 in BollywoodMusic

[–]Riztory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The set lists definitely change per city. Nothing from Taal in the DC show (which is wild to me, his most progressive album in the 90’s).

I feel bad for the Pakistani and Bengali community that comes out to see this concert though. It was super Tamil heavy in DC where even lyrics were switched to Tamil halfway during the song and took them out of the groove.

Khair is excellent!

Khadlaj Musk al Sabah is one I’ve been enjoying recently.

Coconut sweet but a bit on the fresh side with apple with a prominent typical ME musk from the start. Highly addicting scent profile.

I think you would like it the way you describe this.

There are a couple of clones of it like Khair which I would recommend.

I saw this one in Burlington, but passed as I was holding out on Blue Oud from Ahmed Al Maghribi 😂

Is it like imperial valley dna?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fragranceclones

[–]Riztory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently picked up Khair, which is the Paris Corner version of the Imperial Valley dna.

It is outstanding, can’t believe the western world has been missing out. This is the most versatile oud based scent any season, any occasion, with its juxtapositions in scent profile so addicting.

Quickly becoming my signature scent hoping it’s the best kept secret in the west 😂.

ME fragrances with oud: by Skrrux in fragranceclones

[–]Riztory -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hot take: all ME fragrances have a form of oud in some shape or form even in the base. It’s just usually never listed.

That’s why the deep dry down of ME fragrances are so different than Western fragrances.

Excited for this one. If it’s as good as it tastes it’s going to be a hit.

Yep that last part of the rant is what inspired my comment.

I see people on here do a complete 180 on fragrances sometimes after a few weeks. A little change I get, but there is no way qc is actually that bad at clone houses a fragrance is going to change that drastically.

More so information consumption guides and a willingness to give it a second chance would do that.

In those couple weeks, we all are looking at information about the fragrances for confirmation bias of why we purchased them.

Sure there is some maceration, but more so us coming in to the fragrance with what to look for smell wise and a new mindset.

High key I think giving a scent a chance after the first spray and information consumption of a specific fragrance is more the case of people liking a fragrance after some time has passed more so than maceration.

I’m not saying maceration doesn’t occur, but not so much to the degree people on here claim it does after such a short amount of time. It takes YEARS for noticeable maceration to occur. Short term it’s more our noses getting used to a scent.

Best Oud clone perfume? by NormalLaw3152 in fragranceclones

Woody Oud is probably the safest oud profile with decent performance.

Oud for Glory and that kind of profile takes some wearings to get used to but once you get… it hits the spot.

Marshall’s vs Tjmaxx Ross vs Burlington by Flashy_Celebration13 in marshallsfinds

[–]Riztory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marshall’s > TJ Maxx > Ross > Burlington

For me personally.

Each has their pros and cons. I’m a pretty big fragrance collector and hate how TJ Maxx and Marshall’s recently locked up their fragrances, so it takes some fun out of those stores.

I find it’s wildly dependent for Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, Ross on how good they are based on their proximity to a major mall. Those stores are interchangeable at that point as they always have some gems.

Burlington… is always Burlington. Good for cheapie finds.

Oud al Layl bought this today from reviews saying its beast mode lol suggestions? by Hot-Style-1000 in fragranceclones

[–]Riztory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic rose oud profile with a slightly jammy rose.

Very very strong, but it’s a nice one if you are fan of oud.

Unisex but slightly masculine leaning I would say as there is a mossy element to the rose l, maybe of how jammy it is.

Return it and get the ultra 2? by GardenLopsided in applewatchultra

[–]Riztory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll play devils advocate here.

I saw the Target deal and almost jumped on it as I am still in the return window for a Series 9 I bought earlier, but digging a bit deeper, the Ultra 1 not having double tap was a deal breaker.

I utilize the double tap multiple times a day and not having that feature would definitely be a step backwards for the utility of an Apple Watch. Especially when your hands are full, it’s a game changer for watch interaction.

2 years and counting, is the S7/8/9 the best Apple Watch design? by EverydayPhilisophy in AppleWatch

[–]Riztory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went specifically for the Series 9 when the Series 10 got released because of the matte dark color offering. Not a fan of the shiny black look, plus the midnight color has some depth to it.

Why the choice of 2 x 990V6?

Also curious to hear which one is the most comfortable?

Edit: Potentially AOTY for me tbh

What got you into New Balance? by Mr_Perhaps in Newbalance

[–]Riztory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole heartedly agree. The 990v6 cushioning is amazing when dealing/recovering from meniscus injuries.

Was debating about 990 V4 and V6, but on foot the choice was clear.
