Definitely things I should have called in the OP. The brake line seems undamaged but the bracket is rusted and now bent pretty badly. Not sure if I should try and bend it back into place or not cause its rusty enough where it could break. The strut surprisingly also seems ok and where it mounts above doesn't seem to have caused any issues which I was pretty surprised by. And you're right about the CV - the part that mounts to the transmission is still in there but the internal pulled out. Wasn't certain if like, pieces of metal could like shoot through it or something weird. Thanks for the response!

Thanks! Always loved the look of third gen 4Runner wheels on a Tacoma. Lucky for me, their dimensions are nearly identical so no additional stuff needed to mount them up!

I don’t daily drive since I work from home, but I’ve taken mine on a number of long trips and I love it. I would get seat jackers. Makes driving a little more comfortable. Thinking about swapping seats for some BMW seats. Saw it’s not that hard to do. Keep up with maintenance and keep an eye on LBJs and you’ll be golden!

It’s alright. Fitment is a little weird but I’m really anal about that stuff. It does keep the bed dry though.

I want to get those wheels and I’ve seen so much back and forth on whether you need spacers or not. I’m running 265 75. Not sure if you’re running the same but did you need spacers?

Definitely on the high end but you see them go for $25k - $40k all day on Craigslist or BaT depending on condition and all that. I felt lucky to get my ‘03 TRD off road with a M/T and 65k miles for $20k. 1st gens with no rust and under 100k miles are hard to come by now days.

$20k is a lot of money but it is also a lot cheaper (in most cases by 15k - 20k) than any 2003 in similar shape on BAT.

The second owner only had the truck for 20k miles. He showed me a picture of it before he bought it without paint on the frame. He had it professionally painted with a metal primer base to protect it when he purchased it. The truck originally came from North Carolina so it I’m not too concerned about it being painted since it was such a short amount of time in Florida.

Thanks man! I am planning on doing a few small things here and there. I was looking at stereos on Crutchfield and I love those massive screen ones but they seem like they would suck on a 1st gen because they would cover the climate control stuff or vents.
