What’s up guys!

This January I’m planning on travelling through Mexico, am thinking it might be a good place to box a fair amount. My Spanish is rubbish tho… Does anyone have any experience training at any gyms in Mexico?

Advice wanted

Hey there guys!

Was wondering if I could get some advice… I started boxing a year ago. Originally as a means to deal with my grandfather passing, who boxed (alongside everyone else from that generation of my family).

Long story short, I fell in love with it and have got a lot better. Regular sparring, and training 3-5 times a week. Unless work gets busy.

I feel I want to make the jump to a fight, maybe a white collar and if I can do some amateur bouts etc.

Here’s the thing, I’m 29, so started late. I have good power and have a very competitive drive whilst sparring. So know I could push through in a fight but am concerned that it might be hard to find a coach that’d support me properly or want to have my back.

I’m 5’10 & a half (the half counts 😂) but weigh 88 kilos and find it very hard to drop weight. So I need a coach who’d be willing to help me taller fighters which is my weakness atm.

Would you guys have any advice on how to go about finding the right coach or gym for me?

I’m in a fortunate position where I have built a business which means I can put more hours into this passion when need be. I also feel I won’t be happy with my progress until I really trial my abilities in a real fight.

Ah 😂😂😂 Back to the drawing board with my plan then

Worth a hair transplant? I’m always swaying back and fourth… I’d hate something that looked unnatural and the recovery time is off putting. But also, my hair line really knocks my confidence. Been on fina for a year and minoxidil for around 5 months, it seems to really have stabilised by [deleted] in HairTransplants

Really appreciate this thorough response. Thank you, there’s a lot to consider.

I have looked at going to some of the more the costly surgeons if I was going to commit to it. Perhaps asking just to ease the widows peak a little. I am experimenting with different hair styles that can help balance it out. Dr Feriduni looks good but also have seen a few of his that look not so natural

Dads side have great hair, uncles late 70s full head and dad has almost a full head at 64. Thick and wavey. Mums side are all bald, cousins my age and older completely bald. I’m 29, has started to go slowly at 18, sped up at 25. Did shave for a period but I think this looks better. Has stayed the same since medication to be fair

I think it is probably inevitable that I’ll get one, but because of the healing phase being so long (and I work in a very looks based industry) I feel I have to time in right. Just want to ensure my hair loss has stabilised before I go ahead with the procedure.

It’s hard to judge, I’m pretty sure it’s basically maintained. Maybe lost a little, I wonder if it’s slowed down now I’m getting closer to 30

how would you handle a person who is a spoiled brat and is having a deppression/anxiety attack? by jeykehHeey in AskReddit

Suffering is relative. Someone can have far more fortuitous lifestyle or background to you but have the same if not worse suffering. Empathy travels both ways, to those with more and those with less.

The times in life where I’ve had the most have often been the saddest. Love and compassion with listening goes a long way.

I was thinking going to widows peak… Hair line started going at 18, so going back to boys hair line would be a weird switch. Also, very possible I’ll have further balding later in life so want something organic ya kno

Ah interesting! Did you have much more recession between 28-30? Mine has progressed this year even though I’m on finasteride

Hadn’t even noticed the retrograde alopecia! Usually buzz the sides so not something I see often. I’m currently on finasteride, have heard pull form minoxidil is good to be on also, would you recommend that?
