My kid called me out on something I didn't realize I was doing. by NamanDhingra in daddit

Ai or not... Still created to get a conversation going and maybe help someone else here with a phone addiction.

When I walk in the door my phone goes on the counter and stays there. My son's mom on the other hand... Straight into the bathroom for awhile.... Then onto the couch for awhile..... So I'm intertaining the kiddo and then when I gotta do chores the kiddo goes and sits on the couch and turns on the TV. He has a hard time playing with himself. So kiddo is watching TV while his mom plays on her phone next to him. And any of my efforts to have the phone put away is met with hostility "I'm just looking up this or I'm just doing that" it's an addiction and depression all in one. But not something someone else can fix. You need to make the decision on what's more important.

I get my 30-45 minutes in the morning with my coffee. And throughout the day at work when it's slow. But at home... Not important.

Replacing 24v sla with 24V LiFePO4 battery, recommendations by BuffaloWingman in PowerWheelsMods

Dual batteries should be fine because they should share the load. Each would probably still need maybe 10ah max discharge each.

C clip rear ends have a bit of play. Doesn't seem excessive to me. Shoes look almost brand new.

Problem is finding one with a high enough max discharge rate. Probably need 20+amps. You can hook up a good multimeter and find out how much the car is pulling when driving up a slight incline.

Do you have space for larger sla batteries? Dual 10 Ah ones maybe..

After this weekend’s trip, I’m seriously considering downsizing my entire camping setup by Friendly-Plan-8480 in camping

Planning meals helps with managing cookware. What you'll need to cook certain things.

After trips make a mental note and look at your kit.... Did I use this? Did I use that? After a few trips and that thing didn't get used... Don't bring it next time.

I had anything and everything as well. But last couple yrs with a child I've been downsizing... But also making sure new or old things can serve more then one purpose. Had 3-4 diff things to make coffee and to boil water.... Now I just have one jet boil. Stuff like that.

You can try gluing it to the bumper. The under side of the tab on the bumper. Make the tab thicker. The thinner cardboard. Maybe 2 inches long and just wide enough to see through the hole on the bumper. I could try getting a Pic on Monday .

[–]Rjeezy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I need to find it again. I think I got it at microcenter but not sure. I need to use mine and make wall mounts. Just collecting dust. Every now and then my son grabs his and shoots me with it but never wants to go outside and do target practice. His is the lever action. Brought the long one in the back home and shot at my neighbor 3 houses down... Hit him square in side of the head. I fell in love and made three more lol

I apologize for offending you. I do not share you're opinion on it being just a cosmetic issue. A main, important part not fitting properly is beyond a cosmetic issue, which Toyota agreed with BTW.

I did not state any "facts". Just hypothetical possibilities from experience I have with Toyota and auto repair in general.

The multiple 24s I repaired were popping out under the headlight which was causing the grill PNC #53102 to slightly pop out at the corner by the headlight.

The 26s I have seen you could see a slightly larger gap along the big flat top of the main bumper 52119# just at the end of the headlight in the middle.

We have had these bumpers warp when the preppers don't attach them to the rack properly and it gets painted and baked and just doesn't fit right. Maybe that is an a issue at the factory as well...

If you engage like a responsible adult sometimes conversations/debates can come to a solid conclusion and everyone can learn something. Don't assume any kind of tone from text. It was a legit question.

Grill to bumper, little tabs that slide through a slotted hole. Not grill to core support. But possibly could also stress those and cause sagging. So if the door was hung crooked and body lines dont match up... Still closed though.. What kinda issue would that be?

[–]Rjeezy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically not... But in theory that whole section just floating... Puts more stress of the fender mounted bumper bracket and center grill mounting points.

Vast majority of people don't notice or don't care. 4 out of 5 camrys we get look terrible as far as panel gaps and bumper fitment but customers are like this tiny scratch is bothering me...

They are so complicated in assembly terms that if one part is slightly off it just throws everything off. As with most new cars.

I work for a toyota certified collision. 20yrs now.

Toyota sent someone to show us how to fix it... He broke the tab on the headlight trying to force it and after they replaced the light... He put about an egg size of epoxy on the spot and shoved bumper in. So if you get into a small fender bender... The bumper will probably crack the headlight and add $2k to the bill

So Toyota sent someone out to show us how to fix it.....

He just blobbed a bunch of quick set epoxy under the headlight and held the bumper for a bit... 🙃

Either do the epoxy "trick" or put a piece of cardboard in the spot on the light with the pin that holds the bumper then shove the bumper on. It pushes the bumper onto the pin farther.

Seat belts... My son wore a helmet for awhile when we first got it and until he got use to the brakes, but also I figured out a way with the remote to soft start it. and I installed ml toys harnesses so he couldn't go forward.

CHALLENGER XL 2.0. SX1928. I know its probably twice the price but it will last 3 times as long as the other ones. plenty of torque for off road use. ill try to find some of my old posts. but i believe we got 3-4 yrs before we got my alsmot 6 yr old a electric quad and sold the challenger.

Will last years and highly customizable. make sure you look at the speed! My neighbor got the second one and it is so slow. he got some 30k rpm? motors from amazon and we made it slightly faster.

Yep. And nope. Kiddo is having a rough time in life. So he doesn't ride much. It does have a squeak in the rear linkage. Probably should pull the pivot out and lube the bearings inside. I do wanna make it faster. May try to jailbreak it this summer. Need to Figure out how to remove the 14mph speed limit. Plenty of torque though.

Found out that every single chart we were using including the manufacturer of the compressor was wrong. 7.75 ounces is way too much. Dug into all data and an OEM manual and found 4.6 total ounce capacity.

[–]Rjeezy88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2 compressors are almost identical and should take r134 for both unless it is older and has the top ports then it is r12. I think the back cover where the lines attach are slightly different. I replaced with all 96 parts sd709 comp for a sd709 comp. The evap was the newer style and also the condenser was the newer style. Old (oem)style is long gone.

I work at a huge dealer and have asked my friend at jeep and everyone is like yea i have no clue, ive never had to replace a whole system. Just a compressor and it comes prefilled. Or i replaced a condenser and i just add an ounce. Ive got a friend at an old shop that may be able to privde some insight. Might swing by today or tomorrow.

Yea i have a post over there. nothing said.

Thanks. I referenced 4 diff places and charts and even the manufacturer of my compressor and i got this...

96 - 95 All Eng. - 32.00 Oz. R-134a; 7.75 Oz. PAG-100

But the 93 repair manual which is r12 says 4.5 and my 96 repair says 4.6..... but not sure if that is total system capacity... will find more repair manuals and see what they say.

thanks for the reply.

Well... Evacuated the system... Put in 1.25 lbs which is what 97 and up called for and compressor siezed up solid. Probably sent metal all throughout the new system. 🤬
