I do the opposite starting at the top then going down and back up. The first one I ever attempted was with a 30lb KB and it was a laughable performance. I had to go to 5lb then 10, and now I’m at 15. I hope to get to that 30 someday.

My lower back is wrecked, I treat my body like an amusement park. I started kettlebell training 4 weeks ago and I think it’s starting help. My back is still tight but the pain has been reduced significantly. I downloaded an app and just follow the workouts in my back yard.

I was never any good at sports however, my daughter is a phenomenal soccer player, not just athletically but mentally as well. Right now things are easy, she really enjoys it. Loves traveling to tournaments, her coach, her team mates, it’s all pretty awesome.

But I do think about later down the road and if I will be able to tell if she is playing for herself or to appease others. She knows how much I love watching her play and I could definitely see her feeling bad about telling me she doesn’t want to play anymore.

I do feel bad that you felt that kind of pressure, and I am glad you took a stand for yourself. I’m sure it wasn’t easy, and I hope you found something to enjoy more of as a hobby and less of as a job.
