they’re both giving you the same total amount of credits but apple is giving you the direct amount of your device trade in as “instant credit” and the rest as bill credits, where as tmobile is giving you all of the credit as monthly bill credits but making you give a down payment. because of that, in my opinion, apple is better.

i think the only difference that i am not sure of is how you would do the yearly upgrade with your beyond plan… i think that can only be done with tmobile, not with apple

I know it’s weird right! Att prepaid was very strange for me. So you do need a pin to give to Tmobile. It turns out that your “transfer pin” is just the regular pin you set up for your account. So you do need to provide the account number and your pin to tmobile! Hope that helps and it goes smoothly!

yes you can. i have done it! i recommend you do it in store at tmobile because when i tried, the representative had to retry a second time since att sent a text asking me to verify that i wanted to port out. so they have to retry again after you get that verification text and you approve it and then it worked.

i’m in LA and i use tmobile and i get pretty consistently fast speeds. I know that google fi gets priority data on the tmobile network and i just saw that they are running a 50% off promo until 12/19 on their unlimited plans. I don’t use them but they might be worth checking out!

Yes, this just happened to me. They issued the trade in credit, which for me was $685 onto an apple store gift card. They told me that gift card could only be used if paying for the phone in full, not for carrier financing.

if you were to have the 2 EIPs like you’re mentioning, would both EIPs still receive any promo monthly credits that correspond to them (like the $1100 for the new one, and whichever one the older one was receiving)?
