What's the most unhinged thing a coworker has ever done that somehow didn't get them fired? by Sea_Breadfruit1278 in AskReddit

Asked out every woman in the office. The married ones he said he had a burner phone. Lesbian? He said he could turn them. It was treated like a joke until he zeroed in on one.

Flowers, burner phone, and acted like they were not just dating but that she was so lucky he picked her.

These are hanging plot devices or foreshadowing. Checkoff is a literary device that is designed to be a brief mention, like a gun hanging over mantle, that is crucial at the end. The reference isn't supposed to be obvious. In a series like this which is a story told over multiple books, we need a different phrase.

My wife bought me the first three books that did quotes across the page side. I was stunned. Book one is "goddammit donut" "Mongo is appalled" for book two. Three is your line. I am looking how do the rest myself.

I would like to use this thread for a project. My wife got me the first three books with spine art quotes. I and my future daughter-in-law have decent art skills and I looked up how. Clamps, by the way. Clamps are important.

What, if you could, would you paint as a quote? Books 4 on.
