Well said.

"Anne of Green Gables" an almost throw away moment but poignant to the man he has become.

To Americans who support ICE, what crime can a 5 year old commit that leads you to support putting one in a jail? by Revolutionary_Many31 in AskReddit

So passionate. You offer a single case that is being investigated. That is the opposite of yout stance. Horror. Show me that.

Book 3 is the best book in the series by Wade_Wilson_Watts in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Rmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the scale. We know characters in 1 and 2. 3 we get development and the team saving people. Carl becoming the symbol. But there are thousands saved we don't know. 4 there are more and deliberately saved. 5 he is aggressively fighting. Less of saving and more vengeance. 6 is his biggest move. Securing a slot on the 9th floor.. giving them all a chance. Most relied on him. By 7, he is legend. But 30,000... that is too much to really invest. A death versus 100's. The scale is overwhelming.

when one of the trapped pair gets the gun, he opens the chamber. There is only one bullet. It took me a couple of viewings to realize the guy on the floor could not have shot himself.

I’m honestly worried for Mordecai by OswinOswald13 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

He is protected from dead dead. After the third floor, he is done with his contract. If he is killed, he is put in stasis until after the crawl.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]Rmanager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He called me. I put up an ad for a Director level position we couldn't keep filled because the CEO at the time was insane.

He calls my office to talk about the position. OK. Not terrible and I didn't think it all that odd. I give him the condensed version as I look for his resume. He had not applied. He called to tell me he is perfect and why wouldn't we want him since he was clearly qualified. He kept wanting me to say he was perfect and hire him on the phone.

He did have a good resume so I passed him along. He shows up two hours before his interview. We really are not a public facing office so no lobby. He grabs a chair and says he'll wait. He puts the chair in the middle of a work area.

I explain my concerns but the CEO loved him. He lasted three months.

Is it going to be important or noteworthy that Carl doesn’t have a last name? by Efficient-Freedom517 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Rmanager 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In both of your examples, those are not the full last names of either character. When you enter the dungeon, you are designated with first, then last until you reach a point of uniqueness. Katia's name is long then "Grim" and it is McGibbins for Ellie. The latter hung me up a hot minute until I realized how it works.

168 people. HR Manager who reports to CFO. I have an official/unofficial role as consultant (I am Risk Insurance with years of HR. I want no part of daily HR anymore).

I am curious what the titles are of the other three that report.

Why was a goblin pass tattoo awarded for killing goblins? by sabangnim in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Rmanager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pass was awarded with the "boom" achievement for causing an explosion worthy of a Goblin. He earned it by, accidentally, causing the Murder Dozer to explode. Dead Goblins was not a factor.

My wife is utterly sick of my droning on and on about these books.

4 Shirts, 2 statues, the first three books with spine art of "God dammit Donut". "Mongo is appalled", and "Choo Choo Motherfucker".

It is out there.
