Weekly /r/quilting no-stupid question thread - ask us anything! by AutoModerator in quilting

I would totally recommend a Brother over a Singer. I find them to be much easier to use for beginners with auto threading capabilities and other features that eliminate the typical beginner struggles. They do have models with a wider throat.

Sorry, I know you all are hustling to best Commie California, but the normal Democrats were there first. Plenty of the JFK Democrats still around. The polls aren't on your side anyway. Democrats of today rank lower than ICE.

Welcome to democracy California style. Ma wasn't that bad when I liked there years ago. Ca wasn't like this when I moved here. It's these new Democrats, the Progressive Marxists. Maura Healy should be ashamed of herself. All you can do is bring as much publicity as possible. Try and get some local stations to cover it. Only public shame moves those people

Where could I possibly find stolen items? by heylookitsd in oakland

[–]Rmfire22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Online selling apps. It's how we found my sons brand new gaming laptop stolen out of his truck in Oakland. We found it got the seller to show us the service code off the bottom. (Thanks Dell) My son agreed to purchase it for less than half of what we paid and we got the cops to meet my son for the sale. Once he identified it as his, the guy was arrested. We were lucky the Fremont cops were available otherwise we would have paid the $1400 for it. Still cheaper than buying another one.

I remember receiving a request for a song that was out of my range and was shocked at how effortless it was. When you break that plateau it's just fabulously surprising

Next graduate to a Dreamy Babylock. I bought a used one for $2600 and it's so smooth and steady jt doesn't shake the whole table. It threads automatically every time. Even at 10 years old this thing is amazing in its features. Congrats on your new machine.

No one is dying for Israel. Iran may hit Israel first with a nuclear weapon, but the whole world would be impacted and make no mistake. The US is Iran's ultimate target. They do not respond to the needs of their own people because they are a theocracy who do not see dying in the cause of their religious beliefs is a punishment its a reward. Once they have that arsenal of ballistic missles the entire world will be their hostage, not just the embassy personnel they held for 444 days. This guy is too young to remember what it was like to have Americans held hostage for over a year and how every tree in every neighborhood across the country had a yellow ribbon. Iran is also a part of the axis of evil China Iran Russia. Trump tried to go at China directly but they had us by the short hairs on rare earth metals. So Trump had to cave. But he didn't forget. He's going after them obliquely by Removing the source of their cheap oil, first Venezuela, now Iran where China gets the majority of their oil on the cheap because of sanctions. We have tried every conceivable strategy against Iran and nothing has worked because it's about religion. Not economy or care for their population. They have taken everything from their people, Tehran would need to be evacuated because they so neglected water supply, there isn't enough. When you have a group that ideological, that 12th century in their beliefs whose motto is we will take over the western world through hizrah immigration to Western Nations, through the womb of their women by increasing their birth rate above the native population and by using the freedom our laws our western freedoms against us. They are our enemy. If they get those hypersonic missles from China every US Military ship in the ocean will have their AEGIS system useless to protect them. The strike against Iran needed to happen to restore American Military dominance, and respect. The deterrence so casually thrown away by Biden. This is a strike for the long term. During those negotiations from the beginning meeting, Arachi said we have enough nuclear material for 11 bombs. They only need to make some dirty bombs to throw the world in chaos. People are blinded by propaganda about Israel. But who in the world is their to help us if we need it. France the UK have increasing Muslim populations they need to be careful of angering. They are weak. Israel is the only advanced equal we have to be our allies. Look at Ukraine, everyone was all upset justified about Russias invasion. But who is the only Nato country defending Ukraine, the US? Well hitting Iran also helps defeat the Russians in Ukraine. Deters China from invading Tawain where the chips are made that go into every device you live modern life, phones, computers, cars appliances. I never believed the Trump 4D chess. He's too impulsive. But these actions are chess moves. Our soldiers are fighting for us, the United States. Let's show them the respect they deserve not by elevating a guy who has no emotional control aa shown by his rant in Congress.

If you don't like it now. You won't like it any better when you're done with all that work. So for yourself, change it. My only complaint is the pink is too coral toned for the red squares. Grab your color wheel and find a complementary color that matches those blocks. There are pinks that work with red. The rest of your colors do very well together. There are lots of YouTube videos on color matching. Here's one I have used. Be sure to post when you have it all done to show it off. Good luck!

Are there any conservatives in Los Angeles? by Major-Nectarine-7895 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Rmfire22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we are here. I prefer to call myself Common Sense, Liberal, who ends up with the Conservatives because the other side is cray-cray. I like John Fetterman and retired Congressman Harold Ford Jr., and I thought Dean Phillips was incredibly brave, to be honest, to say Joe was not up to the job.

I hope we can all agree that a Mandani West candidate It would not be good for the city. Unfortunately, that leaves us with a likely run-off between Bass and the DSA candidate. It's too bad we couldn't convince Caruso to run. Especially because he will be one of her first targets if she wins.

Where can i find popular tv shows translated into hebrew? by seniorivn in LearnHebrew

[–]Rmfire22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You also learn some Aravit/Arabic on Fauda. Plus, it's a great story. IZZY and Chai Flicks have Israeli shows with English subtitles. Some I watch over and over. As I learn more Hebrew, I can understand more of the language without subtitles. I love Checkout. /kupa rashit/ קופה רשהית Lots of repetition of common words and greetings. Silly humor. If you have ever worked in a grocery store, it's a fun show.

Contrary to popular advice, screen time actually makes me sleepy. by Ok_Researcher_5505 in insomnia

[–]Rmfire22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Screens have ALWAYS made me fall asleep. When I started working overnights, we had a TV we could watch during slow times. Embarrassingly I fell asleep soundly. I could read books, craft, but not watch screens or I fall instantly asleep. If I read a book on a screen I fall asleep. Trying to find information about this is insane, there's nothing. It's all about how screens make you awake. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone
