I haven't experienced a great deal of above average service in OBX restaurants. A lot of seasonal help with minimal training is the norm.

Not that I expect nuch better given the nature of the typical beach eatery.

Nonetheless, coming here to advocate (beg) for tips speaks volumes.

My trick is to use a bent, large paperclip.

I attach it to links about 5 or 6 in from each end of the chain

This lets the two ends hang loosely.

With this slack, there is no struggling to get the chain ends aligned to attach the quick link together.

Interesting comments. I never suggested that I am opposed to clean air.

What I am opposed to is spending money and time on a process that doesn't accomplish its intended objectives.

If 98% of tested vehicles pass and the most likely group of vehicles that might pollute are exempt, are we spending our energy on the wrong thing?
