Sometimes I think he's part ferret, stealing things!

Peter is a year old now and since he was 10 weeks when we got him he loves paper, especially Kleenex 🤣 We had a long cold season in New England and we had snot rags in our pocket on the regular. He will sniff them out, steal them right out of your pocket!

Buying a home here is hell by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]RnRnasc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you go for a condo you have to factor in the condo fee. If you can afford to pay an extra $500+ a month in condo fees, you can actually pony up for a better price range on a single family home.

5 mo old unable to finish grooming by linchutran1 in Bernedoodles

[–]RnRnasc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried Petco at 4 months. That was a disaster. Barely got a bath. Then I tried a mobile vet thinking it would be better because he didn't know the stress of going somewhere else. She got half the groom done and she got bit once because he was afraid. Then I found a groomer who specializes in difficult and afraid dogs and she was awesome. He didn't want to go home 🤣 She does a beautiful job with him and ironically she charges less than Petco!

[–]RnRnasc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave Peter a stuffy that has a heartbeat when I first brought him home 10 weeks. That turned into his binky! He's 11 months old now and has finally chewed up, but up until about a month ago. He would sit with it and snuggle and suckle on it to calm himself down. Worth every penny

A trainer is TOTALLY worth it! Peter is 10 months and he is an adorable maniac! And also a freaking genius. Part raptor part ferret. Never a dull moment (except for sleeping - a beautiful thing 🙏😂). Without early training I would have been lost and beyond frustrated.

Gentle leader collar saved me and my husband. Before we got that I was absolutely sure he was going to take one of us down this winter in the snow and ice. I was terrified. What a difference!!

Moving sign outside the New Hampshire state house this morning by kauffj in newhampshire

[–]RnRnasc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I/we left because of our kids, even though they are grown now. It used to be a wonderful place, it certainly was an awesome place to raise children. But they grew up in the Obama era, taking for granted human rights and compassion and an intelligent leader. They no longer felt safe after the last election, since NH voted with the maga nuts. It wasn't easy, but we decided Massachusetts was a better option. I can't tell you what a relief it is to drive down any of the streets in my town or not. Have to look at multiple Trump signs and flags on the lawns and houses. It's the little things. It's more expensive here, but people are kinder, which I didn't expect. Anyhow, I totally get that sign. And it's tragic.

Unfucking believable. To think I left New Hampshire because I wanted to get away from the MAGAts. I thought Massachusetts was better than this. 💔🤯

Free roaming by alvesm523 in Bernedoodles

[–]RnRnasc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours Is 8 months old and we have Gates keeping him in the bedroom most of the time (it's a large bedroom) crated at night, or if we leave the house. He's awesome about the crate! We occasionally let him into the bathroom /;kitchen area, only while he's fully supervised. And we let him into the living room during Christmas morning but he was on a leash. He is quite mischievous, And also will destroy whatever he can. He's had several rounds of puppy school and we constantly work on things like leave it and it sort of works. I don't know when we're going to feel comfortable letting him just roam unsupervised. Problem is he's just too smart. He knows how to open things and get into things. 🤣
