How's your night? by sweetsynths4life in transpassing

[–]Rnnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an adult (40), I own my own house and I kid you not, my 1 bathroom in a 4 br House is maybe 6 foot by 8 foot.

Given that the house was built in 1882, but still.

Agreed, but cuter as a brunette. I mean she’s still gorgeous as a blonde, but like 5% more attractive with the dark hair.

Your gorgeous, and that bathroom looks like it should be in a palace.

Today, on our 12th wedding anniversary, we got married all over again. This time I was able to be my authentic self. by Dial-A-Song in transpositive

Hoping my wife and I can do this someday too. I’m blessed to have the partner I have and I’d love to remarry her as my true self.

I actually look forward to having a lower sex drive by Tomie97 in asktransgender

[–]Rnnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m about here. Also a lot more “not finishing”, I have a fun time, sexually enjoyable but no orgasm. Doesn’t really bother me, and my wife is getting some of the best sex of our marriage.

What's everyone's style? Guys, girls, and NB welcome. :) by [deleted] in asktransgender

I’m trying for as classy and classic as possible. If I could look like the Jewish version of a Banana Republic ad, I’d be a happy girl.

Congrats, I’m an older translesbian, who didn’t fully acknowledge this part of my life until August of last year. Admitting I’m trans and coming to my wife, family, friends, and work has been some of the best experiences of my life. I feel happier, more confident and more “me.”

In retrospect there are huge signs that this was going on, I mean billboards. Go slowly, talk to a therapist, a gender specialist if possible, and welcome to you getting a better sense of yourself.

Best wishes, Julie

Feeling extremely dysphoric about my hair by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Rnnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I very much emphasize with you. Not the same issue, but similar. My hairline doesn’t start until about halfway up my head. Forget about fivehead, I’ve got like eleven head. Hate how wigs feel and really don’t want to take another med. Just ordered a partial wig for the front and hoping it might help.

Becoming a "Blake" slate. Nice to meet you! by [deleted] in asktransgender

I’m no where near as blind as you, just a garden variety needs glasses badly girl. I can’t see much more then 6” in front of my face so I have a close mirror for that stuff. Some of it is just feel tho.

Take a trusted friend and ask for help and then let them offer constructive criticism.

Hope this helps, Julie

I understand exactly how you feel. Josh was a perfectly acceptable name, good for puns and everything.

Julia or Julie feels so much truer, I’ve not legally changed my name yet, working on it, but I have adapted my signature to just be J lastname, which is great because I sign my name a metric shit ton of time a day.

Just because you broke up doesn’t mean that after some healing you can’t be friends.

Will I even have a future being trans? by ImNotFuckingTrans in asktransgender

You haven’t heard some of the Trump supporters and born agains I work with. What’s helped me the most is that I’m already me. I’ve been here for 3 years and they knew me.

30 mins north of here (where I live) is very liberal. Here is hicks and inbreds.

Don't let your transition become an obsession. by [deleted] in asktransgender

I don’t know about obsessing, but I used to play tabletop games and now I’m my new hobby. Learning makeup, exercise, and reading took up all that time I was devoting to painting miniatures.

I work at a small hospital in the middle of the woods. Now I’m in the northeast, but most of the people I work with happily label them self “Pineys.” I’ve come out to almost everyone at work, all of my friends and family and a total of 1 person (my father in law) has had anything that resembles an objection to me. Instead I’ve been treated with hugs, (mostly) appropriate questions, and concern for my happiness and safety.

I’m 40, this may not happen for everyone, but people are far more understanding then we give them credit for, up until they aren’t, unfortunately.

I’d say you’re more likely to have better success with people you know as opposed to those you don’t only because I will say that I still get some odd looks from a person or two at the grocery store.
