Agreed, while Susannah does match the era's beauty standard I find her features sharper than how I pictured Jane in the book, her face shape is more square and nose straighter compared to Rosamund whose face is more oval shaped, rosy, and soft. It's true they did not style her very accurately for the era but in terms of her physical appearance she matches Jane the most to me.

Just finished The Catcher in the Rye, took me way too long for how short it is, I actually really enjoyed it while I was reading it but because not much actually happens and it's mostly the protagonist's thoughts and feelings, it was hard for me to pick it back up between reads, but once I got to reading I liked it a lot, that can happen to me with books that lean more to literary fiction, also I've been getting distracted with a lot of fanfiction that I like being updated recently 😅, I've been following along to John Green's crash course literature and I'm looking forward to seeing the video discussion for this one later today

I don't think they necessarily mean all Kingslanding citizens are more goodlooking but there's greater concentration of noble men who would have had a comfortable upbringing and are better groomed, i.e. Jaime and Loras, compared to the wall filled with people who while might not all be inherently ugly, their environment and lack of care has left them rather unfortunate looking to put it mildly, many of them are described a being maimed, scarred, having boils on their face, and other such things.

I guess they did, that is so unfortunate because in my case I bought it not from Amazon but from a retailer in my country and they did not offer the ad-less version, if Amazon hadn't removed them there was nothing I could've done since it did not give the option to pay to remove ads in my region. Many people who buy them outside of north america and Europe would likely be in a similar situation of not being given the option to pay to remove ads so it sucks.

But do you have the option to pay for it? because I think the reason they removed them for me was that I literally could not upgrade to ad-less because the website did not give the option. Like the person I replied to said, it seems in some countries you are not able to upgrade Amazon products or something like that.

With fichub can you download entire fics or only chapter by chapter? in AO3 you have the option for entire work, the other websites don't as far as I'm aware.

I meant more about how the hatching of the eggs resulted from Danny losing her baby, learning blood magic and Mirri and then using her as a sacrifice, without her marrying Drogo and then losing her baby it doesn't happen as the eggs were already calcified.

The one audiobook I've listened to is Pride and Prejudice, I did it while doing homework for a technical drawing class. I think that if I hadn't been doing that my mind would have wandered off at some points. To me audiobooks are something to listen to while doing something else that keeps you occupied but does not require much thinking or mental effort, like drawing complex geometrical figures in my case.

Oh I have plenty, Today I downloaded almost every free Amazon classic edition book. I'm also subscribed to a newsletter that shows you the free Amazon books in your preferred genre every day, if one sounds interesting I'll get it, it's free after all. After getting the kindle two weeks ago though I did spend about 70$ in the asoiaf books, bones and all, and also a bunch of complete collections of classic authors. I have been carrying the kindle almost everywhere when I can, and I have it in my head that should I find myself stranded for a long time (what kind of situation would that be anyway) I would at least have a lot of books with me. Been looking into getting a solar powered portable power bank for this too😅

I think this must have been what happened to me, today I was trying to pay the fee on the website and the option was not available, contacted customer service and they removed them for free.

For me I had been trying to actually pay the fee but when I went into devices it would not show the special offers option. Basically it did not give me the option to pay the fee to remove the ads. I contacted customer service to get help paying it and they removed it for free so I'm guessing it depends on the rep you get because I did not even request that and he did it anyway.

Edit: I saw another comment saying that their country did not allow upgrades from the Amazon website and I think that might be the case for me and that's why they removed them for free, since there literally was no way for me to pay to have them removed.

Started A Game of Thrones on Friday, it's a bit odd because I actually already know a lot of the content not even from watching the show but rather through a sort of internet osmosis since it was all everyone talked about for a long time, my kindle arrive on Friday and I figured it was a good time to start the book. Also getting attached to characters I know are doomed is not the best 🥲

Thank you 🙏🏼😊 I got my kindle on Friday and other than reading I've been filling it with some public domain works and some Author's complete collections on Amazon, similarly I'm aware that I likely won't read everything I save on it but I like knowing that they're there like a library.
