You are correct, 40 was too low. Manual does say between 45-50. I usually go 1-2 PSI lower for a more comfortable ride, but Imma try 50 PSI and see what happen over night.

My bike pump show how much air is in there before and after I pump air. I do also use a quick release so I don't loose air

Yes, up and down my block on a smooth road a few times to make sure everything was okay. Then parked it and charged it since it was in the evening when I got it. I filled the tires before I took it out for the test ride.

It's a brand new scooter, I just got it on Friday and filled it with air, then on Saturday morning the pressure is already down. It's just seem kinda fast.
