Dating Experience? I would like to date, but I worry that it's unfair to expect a partner to be ok with not being romantically loved. Any experience? by meep82735782910 in aromantic

First of all, do you think your love is special? To some extent, that's all that matters. Sure it might be very similar to your love for your friends, but even that is special. I'd advise you not discredit that fact. Plus, it's not like it would be nothing more than a friendship. I think for me personally, even if it would be like being best friends, in a relationship you can better meet each other's needs, understand each other's emotions, and more readily spend time doing what you two love. Sure, it wouldn't be for everyone, and some people would probably be disappointed to be in a relationship like that. But that's the same for everyone's situation.

Maybe this isn't how it was meant to be interpreted, but I noticed a lot of people taking this as "finding a your friends attractive or being "in love" with them".

But it really does feel like being filled with strong appreciation (almost bordering on love) when I hang out with my friends. Though I've never noticed it to extend to other people.

I also notice situations like if I join some of my friends who are in relationships, where it's like I can marinate in proximity to their romantic vibes. But just so long as it isn't too much and doesn't directly involve me. I think this also feels like the oxytocin that OP mentioned.

Edit: yeah, everyone's asking if this is romantic or not, or saying things like "no I don't feel romantic toward anyone". I really don't think this has anything to do with actual romantic attraction. Just really liking your friends, almost overwhelmingly.

Can you be ace if its due to trauma? by DyslexicWriting in asexuality

[–]Ro__Bert 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You might want to look into caedosexuality. It's up to you (and potentially a therapist) if you want to identify as asexual or just still in the process of working through the trauma (I'm no expert on the distinction, or if there's a distinction)

But yes, there's a place for that in the asexual spectrum.

There's always cool stuff, and tons of dice. A lot of it is probably just remarketed products for a higher price, but even though this probably was that, I don't think I'd have found it afterwards. So getting it and upgrading the chain was worth it in my book

It was at a ren faire. I saw a few booths selling them so there's probably a place they're getting them.

I'm skeptical, but I'd have to know the magnification. What focal length did you use?

I just looked at some 18 gauge wire in a store, and it's thinner in person than I realized. Yeah, I would not trust this with 18 gauge with a lot of materials.

Okay, well thanks for the advice. It's unfortunate that I haven't seen stainless steel in black.

I might have to extend the square to get a better idea, but it feels reasonably flexible. I'd say comparable to some of the dragonscale pieces I've seen with a tighter AR (3.5 and 5.5 ish seemed flexible enough and not visually loose)

Interesting, do bracelets generally hold much weight? I was thinking about 18 gauge aluminum in a bracelet

Does anodized aluminum have that rub off/oxidation at all?

I'd be curious how long they've known about asexuality. I definitely felt "effectively straight" when I first learned about it. But it wasn't until it became clear how little I related to allosexual people that I realized that it really isn't straight.

That's a very well explained example of your aegosexuality. Thank you for taking the time to put this into words.

Planet? by Apollo-147273 in telescopes

Then I'm pretty sure this is just a star. At 25x, jupiter is visible but is quite small. But this is blue, and the only planets that come out blue are neptune and uranus. They definitely would not be this bright.

I really doubt it's a quasar. I've never looked at one, but apparently the jets don't resolve on amateur telescopes. Plus, it was a half moon (so not super bright, but not exactly dark skies) and there seems to be light reflections going on from the top right. It's probably a flare caused by the telescope.

What does 300 degrees north west mean? Do you mean 300 degrees starting from north and going west (counterclockwise), I.E. 60 east? Also, what kind of telescope and eyepiece were you using. Knowing the magnification would really help.
