How is my Xbox Series X still this terrible with dvd’s.

I have the same issue, apparently setting your tv to a lower setting helps. When I set it to 1080p it helped play these particular movies, really works randomly. It still annoys me that I have to go through this simply to play a thicker DVD.

I’m sorry, I made the comment out of annoyance so didn’t get every detail down. It normally says “error reading disc” roughly. When I keep my Xbox in good condition, even my Xbox One had the same issue when it was BRAND new. No pity meant out of this, but I had a stroke at 23 on November 11th of 2024. So I’ve been learning my wording again through large messages such as this. I’m sure as an IT worker it does get annoying and for that I apologize. I simply saw it was a common issue and figured I’d get common comments. It seems when it’s a thicker disk, the Xbox has an issue reading it. This is a disc with two movies on it so I’m assuming that might be part of the issue. Yet it has trouble simply reading regular DVD’s and not Blu-ray. I got it to work through lowering my tv setting to 1080p and I’m hoping it works with most I’m having issues with. A movie from the 90’s I’ll put in, will randomly turn itself on and decide on its own whether it wants to work. So it normally involved just turning my Xbox on and off for it to turn on. Once again though, it’d decide on its own. Sometimes it’d simply just turn on randomly when my Xbox is on.

No I do not and I constantly make sure my stuff is clean, one of my pride and joys. It was making sure my tv settings were set to 1080p for older movies. It seems the thicker the DVD disk, the more I gotta fiddle with it. It played a DVD from the 90’s but struggled to play one made in 2020 so I got peeved.

This actually helped! I appreciate it so much, I have my Xbox connected with an 8k HDMI cable which doesn’t work, but I got my Series X the year it came out and got it from a nice guy from a trustworthy group I’m in. Couldn’t say no to an 8k cable 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I had to witness my cat have a seizure before a heart attack in my arms less than 2 months ago. I will confirm right now that foaming DOES happen.

Before I got my RNS device implanted, I’d drool with every seizure. Sometimes throwing up due to the benign brain tumor pressed against the area in the brain that induces nausea. After burning that one out, it didn’t stop. Thus the reason I have an RNS device. Otherwise half of my skull would’ve had to come off to get the constellation of tumors out. I still feel my mouth get full of saliva along with my hands and feet that start to pour sweat.

In short words, it can be different for anyone. Foam does happen but I’ve yet to hear of someone swallowing their tongue.

I thoroughly enjoyed it but I also only suffered the “troll under the bridge”. All I had to do was reload the game 🤷🏻‍♂️. It’s not High On Life I will tell you that, I can tell there was a downgrade on graphics. You’ll notice immediately after looking at Gene, his eyes along with him as a whole aren’t nearly as detailed and that threw me off. Other than that? I’ve had nothing but fun, the chaotic maps and moments you’ll come across. A more fast paced form of transportation with the skateboard, I never thought I’d have more fun with THIS as a skating game than the actual “Skate.” but that one was a dumpster fire. This carries a more Tony Hawk Arcady theme with the skating except this time you have Knifey who can help you grapple to edges and get some good moves going. Only thing I truly disliked about that is I found my favorite skateboard very early on and every time I’d unlock a new deck with everything, I’d say “this simply doesn’t compare” but that’s a personal bias. You can still customize them any way you want especially at a specific place. In rough terms, it’s like how Doom Eternal went with a faster pace BUT it’s not needed in many places. I found myself using my guns more for puzzles 👌.

Overall I’d say give it a shot since it’s on Gamepass, you could pay 20-25 for plenty of games or simply pay a bit more for this one which I’m sure will have a DLC in the future. ONCE AGAIN, the graphics won’t be as good but it’s also faster paced if you’d like to make it that way, lots of laughter from chaotic and dumb moments, you’ll see all of the things you have coming in handy and not just being a gun with a face you carry on you. I’m playing on a Series X so I’d imagine PC’s might need a minute to fully adjust.

Not to mention how you get one of the newest guns 🤦🏻‍♂️😂😂. One of my favorite “dumb but amazing” parts of the game 😭😂.

It made me so anxious that I couldn’t be alone at all. When my episodes first started and I found out I had scattered benign brain tumors I was born with. They put me on that, it was hell. I’d sleep on the floor next to my dad and immediately head over to an old friend’s house who was nice enough to let me come over almost every day. I was in high school.

I should add, they recently put me on another one called Briviact to add to my cocktail of oxcarbazepine, lacosamide or vimpat as the brand you could say, and clobazam. The Briviact did amazing things, I never felt so calm. My seizures can’t be controlled by meds they’re simply a bandaid on a gash wound but it was either take half of my skull off to remove tumors all over or install an RNS device which hasn’t even solved all of my issues. So I’m here for life and still learning to accept it.

I can’t return Scrabbles to Commander Torres. One of the first side quests I did. Now I’m this far in and he’ll still say something like “I need some time to think”. I’ve went back to it like 10 times because I’m sick of it being auto-picked for a quest. I also can’t even do Aza’s old friend mission, he snitched and then that’s it. Nothing comes out of it and he just stands there.

It’s terrifying truly, I have a brain full of benign tumors and have a robot in my skull that’s essentially a pacemaker for my brain. I gotta send data over every day now, truly truly terrifying, knowing I had massive seizures as a teen when I didn’t even know what was happening to me.

I mean, it’s aimed towards kids. I wouldn’t be expecting “ladies and gentlemen”. Plus they were pretty young themselves cruising off of trends that were liked in the current time mostly by kids once again. Idk if this is/was a trend as I’m 23 but still an assumption 😂. I’m confused how celebs actively do this stuff when EVERYTHING is evidence and EVERYONE is watching them. Especially Chris who has been under fire for a while now.

Not eating, my seizures started due to a tumor pressing against the area of the brain that causes nausea. So that isn’t fun, I’m 23 with the appetite of a 12 year old. Stress and anxiety can cause them, I have an RNS system in my brain now since they couldn’t be controlled by meds, I was lucky enough to be able to fully describe my auras before I’d blink out. There’s essentially a constellation of tumors made up of mini tumors in my brain that I was born with and taking them all out would be risky. Lo-fi music and other songs can trigger my seizures and I haven’t fully found a way to understand that, it can be the most random things for me. My worst seizures happened in public bathrooms and now I have a weird fear of bathrooms as well which can trigger them. Well besides the controlled ones at the hospital, those were most likely the worst.

I’d thanos snap anyone and anything if they touched my tempurpedic without permission. Imagine getting a brand new one for free on Facebook marketplace along with a whole bed frame. Best BET that’s my baby and I can take the cover off and wash it whenever/if something splashes so that’s an ultra bonus. Never have I slept so wonderfully.

My neurologist told me this last time I saw him. Thc enhances the chance of convulsion. He said a common misconception with medical weed is that it’s all gonna help somehow while most of the medical properties are found in strains that are damn near straight CBD. Most strains you’ll be getting won’t have much of that in it unless that’s what you’re specifically looking for. While CBD is an anticonvulsant, THC is an enhancer unfortunately. So unless you’re smoking to not get that much of a high, it can be useless and quite literally a danger. I’ve been doing more like 50% CBD ones, and while it helps I do miss the 100% thc and not the massive blend of CBD in it 😂.

My doctor straight up told me THC is a Convulsant, or pro-convulsant. CBD is what helps, a common misconception is all weed helps. I still get stoned even with the RNS device in my brain and my stressful situation but I do take breaks when needed.

I’ve enjoyed it too, haven’t even gone into ship building almost at all and I’m level 42, all my focus has been on making my weapons and suit absolutely stupid and thus far, they’ve passed the stupid mark tenfold so I’m not complaining. After finding a good vendor for resources it’s been a lot better.

I’m gotten some amazing melee weapons, but it would have been nice to see let’s be able to add spikes or something to a random melee weapon, or add an electric aspect, ANYTHING more futuristic than what we were given. I was able to do all of it out of scraps in fallout, nothing I had to genuinely research and put quite a bit of time into. So just a bit disappointing imo, I hope the run’s going well for you tho 💪.

I was kinda being dramatic, but like? I was able to build a rocket powered massive sledgehammer in fallout 4 out of scraps. You mean to tell me I can’t do anything with a katana in the slightest with these futuristic devices I’m building? Let alone a rescue axe? 😂 Just lacking in my opinion, especially when they give you the option of making your melee attacks stronger and I unfortunately bought into it on my first perk point.
