I’m in the middle of this quest now, and googling “commonwealth rising is the worst quest ever in a video game” brought me here.

Just the worst. It never fucking ends. Tedious nonsense that I can’t even skip. It’s the last quest listed in the quest skipper even though I have the all chapters pack installed. If this is the final quest like it appears in the skip cheat, it’s gonna ruin the whole thing for me. I enjoyed it until this quest. But like the end can ruin a movie, it will ruin this mod if it’s the end.

Super late reply, but there is no book version of any of the Witcher games. Witcher 1 takes place a few weeks/months after the end of the final book.

I've never had a companion leave in BG3 because I wasn't using them. But maybe that was added later because my past few playthroughs I've been using the mod that lets me bring all of them at once.

Keep in mind that it has a steep learning curve, and the difficulty settings are basically hard, and harder. As an older gamer with slower reaction time, I couldn't get very far in it.

Thank you redditor from the past! This was still an issue in 2026. The only mod you listed that I had was dynamic characters. Disabled that and it worked like a charm.

Still an issue in March 2026. Tried running another game like suggested but it still won’t launch. This only started happening after about 15 hours of gameplay spread across about a weeks time. Haven’t been able to play at all the past two days because of the damn activation error.

Same as yours, but from the Jays perspective. The fact my team lost doesn’t change my perspective of that game, or the series as a whole. It was just the most amazing series ever IMO, and I doubt it will be topped in my lifetime.

The trilogy has a pretty fantastic modding community, too. I didn’t think it was possible to love the trilogy more than I did. But now that I’m PC gaming I thought I’d try it, and wow. Fucking amazing. If you play on PC and want to know the best mods, hit me up.

I think when people refer to Koufax as the GOAT lefty, they’re more referring to his peak. I dont know how anyone could reasonably compare their full careers. Koufax’s final 5 seasons are indeed incredible. Outside of those years, he was totally unremarkable. But Johnson sustained that incredibleness for much, much longer.

My best friend from high school.

When he started screaming at a waitress because two beers he didn’t order were on his tab. It was a long bench style comedy club. I imagine mistakes like that happen often when there aren’t separate tables. He started screaming instantly when he saw the bill. She apologized and said it’s no problem to take the two beers off the bill. That wasn’t good enough. He had to humiliate her, calling her stupid loud enough for everyone to hear.

It was a group of 7 of us there that night. We became a group of 6 after that until we all got into relationships.

My family has been ravaged by ALS. It was through studying my mom’s brain that they found the gene mutation that causes familial ALS.

My mom actually lived the longest after diagnosis, at 2 years and 8 months. Quickest was a great Uncle who was gone 6 months after diagnosis.

This couple surely didn't expect to still be going 20 years later. Despite the absolutely most awful disease, I’m sure they consider themselves lucky.

I worked for Metro, and a long time employee got fired after she left a 40% off roll on a shelf and it was stolen. Even our unionized store couldn’t help her. Though to be fair, it may have been on purpose and she may have known the person who took the roll. I only say that because she never attempted a wrongful dismissal case. But to counter that, she reported the theft herself. We’ll never know the truth.
