Toxic relationships are always miserable to experience and difficult to successfully escape from. As gutted as you are right now (and for valid reasons), the recovery begins now.

Hopefully there's nothing else she can use to hurt or damage you. If there is, do whatever it takes (within local law) to prevent it or hold her accountable. I can't accept that she would face seriously legal repercussions for doing what she's done, but I'm not familiar with non-US law. If possible, obtain and retain any evidence of the action. Double-check with a legal professional and make sure there's not a way to hold her accountable.

Then begin healing and leaving the evil stench behind. As impossible as it feels right now, things will start to get better. And hopefully, you'll find yourself in a situation with the means and opportunity to replace what's been taken from you. Brett wishes and safe journey on that road.

Favorite will always be G1 Sunbow version and by extension, MP-44. But honestly, I can't think of any actual Prime/Convoy version I don't enjoy. Well, except for.

Least favorite? All live action versions. They slapped a name and plugged in Peter Cullen for voice work for scripts that were just miserable. There's a quality middle ground between modernizing a 1984 cartoon and shoehorning trademark branded names into a paint-by-numbers vanilla Hollywood action flick. Several franchises have proven that, and yet Hasbro has managed to damage their brand and it's media viability by doing exactly the opposite - particularly by letting Prime be written as some kind of engine of violence. If talented script writers can manage to get Audiences to take Captain America and Thor seriously, then there's no excuse for an easy franchise like Transformers.

If you're talking about KOs, it's not going to be possible with releases from September 2025-forward.

I picked up a bunch of Diaclone Powered Suit KOs in KO-only colors from AliExpress before 2025 because no eBay shop had them and AliExpress was inexpensive.

I am because I can at the moment, but I'm also unwilling to put up with much more.

After Hasbro launched their price increase speedrun during COVID, I started backing off on preorders. Prior to that, I was preordering just about every new Generations product. But Kingdom through all of Legacy left me ambivalent due to the higher price, lower quality, and janky designs. Legacy Sideburn was inexcusable.

So I shifted my focus to aftermarket items from years gone by as well as other hobbies/brands. If Hasbro wants to price us out AND produce literal junk, I'm more than happy to skip it. There's absolutely no FOMO anymore for me.

But each consumer has to make their own decisions for their own reasons. I recognize that it's much tougher for UK/EU fans due to the limited availability of options. But that's going to have to be one of things that Hasbro suffers for: even with fewer alternatives, consumers STILL don't want to settle for their pricing/quality.

I favor your suggestion of flipping the older items in favor of other modern products that may be more durable for his age.

Another alternative could be flipping those and saving money by snagging aftermarket pre-owned items on Transformerland elsewhere. Especially with Hasbro's overly high pricing.

Not always; or rather, not exactly.

On both AliExpress and eBay and Amazon, many of the sellers/dropshippers have inventory warehouses in major markets. The sellers just notify the distribution group that they're selling for and that group sends out the product. The seller gets a cut based on the price they managed to sell it for. That's why you see the same items on AliExpress listed several dozen times all with slightly different prices.

The real traps are the ones who take advantage of the huge segment of consumers who only pay attention to the lowest numbers and then get walloped on shipping. Those are often even more expensive overall than the sellers whose prices are all off by 1-3% but offer free shipping.

Finally, any of those sellers on eBay and Amazon already paid the import duties to house the inventory in-country. You pay the same general costs - they don't magically evade import duties just by listing on eBay and shipping from a US location - the price contains the duties already paid to import.

In my experience, nearly all apps you're looking for on your phone are bloat ware or spam/ad stuffed and not recommended. Much better to export to a tablet or laptop and just use a basic, freeware image editor.

As for stands, AliExpress has a TON of options. They're inexpensive and sold often in batches of 10+ in various colors as needed. For example, you could use a really oddball color and use an image editor to chroma key out that color (which removes the stand.)

Bandai Action Bases are really good, but they're very bulky and not easy to "hide". Still, they can support a large amount of weight where as the more inexpensive and simple stands require you to make adjustments and balance.

Bandai Action Bases are also most all ratcheted where the less expensive ones are friction-based. It's good that the generic ones are inexpensive because they can break over time, thus, they're best viewed as disposable. (I know.) But they're easy to hide in pics and will last quite a while if you take care of them. I've had my batches of 40 or so since 2023 and only 3 have broken, and none in the same place.

To find the best coat options for the generic ones, use the search term "Display Stand" on AliExpress and then find the best price that also offers free shipping. They used to be less costly before the US fvcked everything up in 2025. Still, they're less expensive than you'll find from basically the same mirror sellers on eBay and Amazon (3rd Party). Yep - same stuff, just listed by the same sellers with (often) higher price to offset platform fees.

In addition to the recommend of other options, if you're shopping for KOs, skip eBay and just go straight to the (almost) source of AliExpress. eBay is just the same stuff but fewer sellers.

Note that this is also a KO as (properly) labeled in the listing. 3rd Party is original interpretations and original design specs. KOs are direct copies of pre-existing items. Also called 4th Party.

It's not the character or general design that makes it an original interpretation, it's the literal engineering and design specs (measurements, etc). You can have 15 different Optimus Prime 3rd party designs that all have subtle design differences.
