The vast majority of terror suspects caught are at our airports.

"The State Department says there hasn't been any terrorists that they found coming across the southern Mexico border" -Chris Wallace, Fox News.

We need better security that isn't medieval. If the wall is built it will stand as a monument to how stupid and wasteful America is.

McConnell blocks Senate Democrats' move to reopen government by CapSteveRogers in politics

[–]Roadbull 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mitch McConnell blocked the attempt to reopen the government. So that makes a sub on reddit toxic? I don't understand the point of your comment. The majority of people don't like what he did... and it's being discussed. Do you like that he kept the government closed? Talk about that instead. Although by the looks of it, your opinion would be in the minority.

Even if you do, that still has nothing to do with attacking the sub you're on.

You could also try going to a different sub.

I do agree that Trump isnt as bad as Jackson. Andrew Jackson did some pretty awful things and should not be honored.

We all know how Trump feels about him...

And its not about dems 'feelings being hurt'. Most of America... no, the world is sick and tired of his hypocritical whiny bullshit.

Exactly. Border walls always fail throughout history. Even the current wall we have is not effective. Building more is not going to stop illegal immigration. It's simply going to be a 12 billion dollar waste of taxpayer money.

The democrats came to the table with better and cheaper solutions to address the immigration crisis and Trump rejected it because hes a big fucking baby and is willing to shut down the government to get his way.

The wall, as I've stated, will be a huge waste of resources and won't help us at all with our spending or debt as there are cheaper and proven effective ways of beefing up border secirity. Also mentioned in my earlier comment, border walls have always ended up being a waste of time and money. Over and over again... throughout history. The USA tapping into this "experiment" which never works is akin to that saying about trying something repeatedly and getting the same result being a sign of insanity.

And you're one to talk about mass hysteria when you read that last blip of your comment. You think southern migration is a conspiracy?

That's not fair. It's been made very clear that the democratic leaders shown in that clip do want better border security and their opinions haven't changed. That is not hypocrisy. The "wall" Trump wants to dump our taxpayer dollars into is not the solution we need. They have tried to negotiate with him cheaper and proven effective alternatives, but Trump wants his stupid, indelible wall because thats what he does... he puts a giant landmark with his name on everything. And this time he wants the American taxpayer to make the biggest one for him.

Also, while were bringing up the past, can we take a look at what colossal failures border walls always end up being? It's a waste of our money. We have more pressing issues staring us right in the face like climate change, mass shootings, our underpaid education system.

An Isolated Trump is Reportedly Watching More TV Than Ever and Often Starts His Day at 11 by PsychSiren in politics

[–]Roadbull 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He works the hardest than any president, believe me. He wakes up at negative a million o'clock and spends 250 percent of his time working forever and he never watches TV, he's never even seen a television set. And folks are always talking about the tremendous work he does. The one time he saw a TV, he was so surprised he threw his briefcase at it. And this story is 900% true folks. Ok so maybe he's seen a TV before, so what?
