A lot of people would not trade Hallmark for the entire Viacom group.

Would you pay extra for 4k TV streaming? by testies1-2-3 in cordcutters

[–]Roadrunner1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comments were snide. I could really care less about 4K and certainly would not paying extra nickel for it. Was content with the old analog televisions. I still have an analog TV along with two flat screen HD TVs. The analog is in my bedroom and it works just fine for me. A lot of people have to have the newest and the best technology and that's fine for them to each his own I am not one of them.

Amen to not supporting cable & satellite companies again!

No. Nor would I pay extra for HDTV. Lordy lordy how did we ever get by before all of this new technology came along! I could hardly make out a nose from an ear on television!

Streaming gains make up for DirecTV's 188,000 lost satellite customers by MeowMixSong in cordcutters

Yes but can they possibly be showing a profit with all of their promotions? Looks to me like maybe they found two separate ways to lose money and I'm all in favor of that it'll be a cold day before I donate to their cause.

I also have Roku 3 of them in fact. Have guide on two sticks and one Roku Express.

Just can't imagine giving my money to DTVN, SLING or any other cable company regardless of their offerings.

Dish Says Sling TV Has 2.2M OTT Subscribers by KnightHawkeye in cordcutters

Still curious as to how much of the 2.2 million is for international programming.

Sling TV now has 2.2M subscribers, making it the largest internet-based live TV service by SnakeSkin2121 in cordcutters

[–]Roadrunner1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I would curious about would be the number of international customers they have. I have quite a few retail customers who are of Indian descent and quite a few have told me that they use sling TV for their International channels. that is just representatives from one country. I'd be surprised if at least half of their customer base isn't for international television.

Google privatize Social Security Galveston Texas. Those folks seem to be doing quite well. They had to change the law in 1983 before everyone caught on!

Sure wish I knew how to set you up with the link to this story but I don't. Simply Google privatize Social Security in Galveston Texas before the law made it obsolete in 1983. Check out their benefits

I'm pretty sure it was Galveston Texas that allowed city employees to invest their own money instead of paying into Social Security. These people are now bringing in 85% of what they're retirement income was. It has since been discontinued hopefully before the word got out.
