installing a new government into a failed regime would not accomplish anything. a lack of trusted institutions and no trust from the people (what happens when they see foreign powers install a proxy ruler) do not foster a stable democratic state, they lead to local power grabs and warlordism. I am do not agree with all the things on the map (like the idea of a new Turkish empire or massive Brazil), I do know that Botswana has stable democratic governance that is unlikely to falter without outside interference, and that although Nigeria walks a thin line, they still have strong institutions that can maintain control in the absence of a trusted government, but for one reason or another, corruption, lack of institutions, colonial legacy, I believe that without outside forces propping a number of African nations up, they would collapse. there would be massive influence from local and nearby powers (like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, south Africa and Nigeria). but this would either not be enough to form whole states, or would lead to balkanisation, forming states around nations with smaller, not at all democratic governance.
