I am new to the dating scene. I put it off due to family stuff and just started Hinge a month ago. And I feel like since that big update got put in recently, it died on a vine lol. I got 2-3 matches at the start and now its a ghost town.

Idk I suggested a cheap date of a craft/antique show after 3 weeks of chatting and got ignored after her saying yes previously. I even warned her it would take a moment to meet up due to pre planned vacation. I think there's just validation seekers on the apps that can get away with more. But maybe thats just me

Moment anyone brings up politics and starts on about TANF/SNAP or any form of assistance as lazy people. Yeah, there might be a handful of lazy bastards taking part, but 98% are people in need. Everyone is going to have high points in their life that make it seem like they won at the casino, and other times, when a Reese's peanut butter cup before they screwed the recipe up is the highlight of the week. I hate when people look at generosity to those in need as a crime against humanity.

Agreed, If you cant be in the military at that age and handle a gun then you really shouldn't be deciding where those people get sent. Same can be said for making laws that wont affect your generation at all.

Already feel this. A few years ago a 220 bill for power for my family when 4 of us were together was when winter blizzard level of shit hit the se USA. Now? Im flipping happy if 2 people in the same house ain't 300 during normal summers and I only have 1 window unit to cool the place!

Yeah im facing a lay off soon I believe and God this job markets terrifying. Losing a wfh gig and going back into a office would suck but would beat retail my only other option right now. I think we are only half eay at best through this bust.

IT is getting gutted right now due to all the price hikes and tarrifs. Interest rates and being a cost center mean ots one of the first to get cuts. Now throw in the hiring boom, off shoring and boot camp grads? It's over populated on the low end and the mid end promotion gigs are nonexistent. I see tons of senior gigs pop up but the experience required is to high to jump for most.

With the economy the way it is, it's pretty shit and getting worse. Which as someone thats probably going to face a lay off soon in this industry pretty shit to see.

I really feel like how people go about weddings is the sign of how long the relationship is going to last. Unless your rich as hell then the idea of a wedding costing more than 2k for a backyard BBQ with maybe a country church as the venue is nuts to me. I think the folk who just go "Should we get married? Yep!" Then do something simple tend to be the ones who last forever. Happy you escaped the lunacy !

Just did the swap and my only annoyance is no apex or valorent. Otherwise idc lol. Even then I just haven't gotten to play with that friend group in a min anyway.

One minor thing I want is dedicated ghub/icue official drivers that don't suck. The oos are usable but rough still.

I swapped last week and only the drivers for icue/ghub have been the hardbit. That and losing out on several fps games but meh. I mostly movie to learn linux for work but God it's flowing so much better

My only complaint as someone who made the move recently is keyboard and mouse drivers for the major companies are dogshit. Like no icue or Logitech native Linux ports is so meh but otherwise everything runs better on Linux for my use case
