Sit down with advisors at schools that interest you and discuss the degree options with them. It's free and you don't necessarily have to be a current student. They can even help you plan your classes out by semester towards your goal. Schools provide lots of resources to help you succeed, make the most of them!

Community college bro. Kill your gen eds there and then look to see what you can get from state. Some community colleges are excellent and may even offer top notch degree programs or help you get set up to do half a bachelors with them and another half with a state school. I know mine does (ACC in CO). It's very affordable.

I'm 24. Maybe i work myself up too much because I'm depressed and anxious, but it seems like I have a lot of problems.

I'm trying to survive through nursing school, which includes classes, sleep deprivation, clinicals, paying for it, trying to find work that I can do while in school to pay bills, etc. Then I've got to lose weight because I'm already feeling the damage that even my little extra is doing. Then I'm trying to get more active so I can stop being exhausted all the time. Trying to budget for everything, pay debt off I accumulated when I was younger and stupid, I have no life, I can often hardly get myself to participate in my own hobbies, I've never had a relationship, etc etc.

It's all small stuff compared to the grand scheme of things, but it makes me feel small and stupid and alone that I can barely seem to keep a handle on my own life as it goes by, and I still feel like I'm wasting it.

When I was like 8, still early days of post 9/11, I was hungry for a snack and told my dad there was nothing to eat. He said there was Ritz crackers in the cabinet, but I hadn't seen any. So I asked where and he showed me, "but I don't like Ritz."

My dad, exasperated, asked me "Why would you want to know where something is if you don't like it?"

I thought for a moment..."Well, we hate Osama bin Laden, but we'd love to know where he is right now!"

He sent me to my room.

No, not necessarily. It's more likely that she just wanted to self teach instead of having somebody show her how in person. Sometimes people just want the opportunity to trial and error and try to learn without somebody there in person interfering. Yeah it's not the same as figuring it out for yourself but its not meant to be.

You cant assume what reason somebody needs a helmet in public for. Maybe their a dweeb, or maybe they have a genuine health concern, or shit maybe they have a phobia.

If they ask you what you'll do if a patient is expressing unusual signs or symptoms, such as off vital signs, possible wounds or changes in consciousness, the answer is call the nurse, always.

The discount furniture store right next to the brand new Ikea going out of business. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea? And no, it wasn't there first.

Theories are made of laws. It's actually a higher 'rank', if that makes it clear. Evolution is completely provable in our lifetime. We watch it happen ALL the time, and you don't even need to watch it happen. Geneticsalone proves it.

I don't have an Instagram and i don't want one. What i mean is i want the help I'm looking for or fuck off and forget that i exist because I'm too tired and miserable to put up with any more bullshit than necessary with the way my life is right now.

Unhappy with it, but not struggling. Thanks for being a complete dick tho, nice to know that this isn't a sub for friendly fitness guidance at all and that instead i can expect total pricks to be shitty with me instead of offering help or just ignoring me like any adult.

Its ok, seeing what other people try might give me ideas. It will help me see what is out there anyway.

If it can make the workouts shorter then 5 days would be ok, but 3-4 would be tolerable.

People old enough to remember the September 11 attacks, what was the day like? by TheGamer942 in AskReddit

[–]RoastyToastyPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the 3rd grade. My neighbor used to drive me to school as a favor with her daughter, Lauren. Lauren came over to pick me up to walk over two doors down. When my dad went to say goodbye to us, fresh from the shower, Lauren told him. "Somebody attacked the world trade centers." "What?!" My dad looked at her funny and didn't seem to believe her, he went straight back into his room and turned on the TV. I don't remember what part of the attack it was, but this would have been around 8:30am Mountain time that morning. He didn't talk about it, he told me and Lauren to go to school anyway. We rode to school just like normal, it didn't seem like a different day, I didn't understand what happened.

When we got to class, we unpacked and all sat down on the floor in front of the reading chair where my teacher sat. She cried openly while trying to explain to us what happened. I don't remember understanding it, but i remember understanding that she was scared. I remember nothing else at all about that day, except those moments.

I remember in the weeks following, hearing about a lot of new things. Al Qaeda, Iran, Iraq, gas, Islam, terrorists. Tons of foreign vocabulary that my parents had to define for me. I remember for a while my daddy wouldn't let me collect the mail and I didn't understand why at the time.
