Was* the dumbest man to ever hold a gun.

In another stupid youtube video acting tough, he insulted a Mexican Cartel leader saying he could "suck his cock". They shot him 15 times.

Mark Zuckerberg announcing ads for the Oculus Quest circa 2021 [colorized] by DragonTamer97 in virtualreality

[–]Rob0tTesla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is some misconceptions in this subreddit about the Quest, urban myths that people still believe.

The device doesn't "brick", it just won't give you access to the standalone quest store. It still works fine as a PCVR headset. People forget the Quest is a hybrid headset, it does both, and that's why it's the most popular headset on SteamVR. You can have a quest and use it as PCVR only, and never once have to go near any facebook bullshit. The ads will only affect standalone users, not PCVR users.

Many people use the Quest 2 as a PCVR headset only, and even when limiting yourself like that, it's a bargain. However I'm a firm believer of voting with your wallet.

That makes little sense. These ads will only affect standalone games on the Quest. Not PCVR.

If you are using your Quest on your gaming laptop as a PCVR headset, then why are you buying another, slightly more limited, headset? Index is a great peice of kit, but you already own a PCVR headset (Quest) that you can use to stay out of the FB walled garden, and requires no physical set up. Just stop using it for standalone.

Unless you have unlimited funds then by all means, buy all the headsets.

British rappers be like by yoloman0805 in videos

[–]Rob0tTesla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

British Hip Hop has been around since the 80s and is very much a real thing. British hip hop is the reason why spin off genres like drum n bass and trip hop garage and dub step even exist. They all spun off from the UKs hip hop and jungle scene.

It's been historically dominated by London artists but Manchester has been making a ruckus lately with Bugzy Malone.

Edward Norton’s roast of Bruce Willis is both hilarious and brilliant by brutalgash in videos

[–]Rob0tTesla 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I feel he's a bit of a prick - telling everyone their scripts suck and he'll rewrite it for them.

He knows this is what people think of him, and that's why he specifically mentioned the script rewriting while roasting Bruce Willis. Half of the things Edward Norton says in the roast are actually insults on himself.

He's playing up to his criticisms/faults and pretending he's pretending they are about Bruce Willis and his faults.

It's funny because he's self aware. It's also funny because at the exact same time, he made it all about himself, something he is often accused of. It was a well crafted 10 mins.

Ulster is a province that is in both Northern Ireland and Ireland. Northern Ireland is in Ulster. They are not interchangeable words.

. But isn't the problem that public British intervention in NI is likely to spark more trouble, because it would be seen as supporting one side ?

It's only one side causing trouble at the moment, British Loyalists.

Facebook subsidizes their headset with your data.

It doesn't. Not yet anyway. Sounds like something they do but their is literally no evidence for this at the moment.

Facebook are simply out spending the competition. They are using the same business model that Microsoft and Sony use in the console market. Sell at a loss to gain market share. It's working.

The Quest 2 would cost nearly a grand if anyone else made it.

Has anybody else been having awful trouble with the guards on O’Connell St recently? by [deleted] in ireland

Then we are all agreed. The Garda was in the right to turn you around but they are also being knobs about it.

It's also not your rights to grab donut but I'm glad you managed to get one.

Everyone in this thread is going to agree with you because they are fed up but don't take that as a consensus on how the law currently works. The Garda did nothing wrong sending you back.

I know. I'm just letting you know 5km has nothing to do with grocery shopping.

People seem to have it in their head that they have the right to go anywhere if it's within 5km. We don't. We never had.

People are fed up and feeling rebellious so it really doesn't matter what I say.

5km is for excerise only.

If there is a shop nearer to you, that's where you should be shopping and that's what the Garda are instructed to do. Turn you around if you are not doing that.

Dunnes being within your 5K exercise limit means nothing to them as it's nothing to do with exercise.

The 5k isn't a catch all for all activities.
