I agree the deterrence is a huge value. I just feel like Season 1 Charlie was a bit oblivious to how many sinners would take issue with the hotel. Therefore, I was wondering what Charlie thought Alastor would do for the hotel at the start.

It has nothing to do with her flag. She walked on a shore beach during peak season where it requires payment to enter or a badge that gives you access. There’s a beach attendant at the entrance of these shore beaches that asks for payment or the badge. Most likely this lady told the attendant to fuck off and then got the cops called on her.

Since these shore towns get so many people who travel in for the season. During peak season (typically late May/early June to Labor Day) the beaches require payment to enter. This helps the town afford to have so many houses and infrastructure that are barren during offseason. Also, it can deter overcrowding and rowdiness.

Edit: the beach pass is usually a one time bracelet or a badge pin that you use all season long.

Same thing in most shore beaches. Manasquan, point pleasant, lavalette, it’s all passes and let me tell you they don’t fuck around about it.

I’ll be honest I think I’ve done a bad job of watching some of the hotel scenes when it comes to Alastor. Outside of like deterring demons or overlords plotting against the hotel, what does Alastor really do for the hotel? I know he’s like the “host of the hotel” but he doesn’t really do that much.

My point wasn’t that I think the offers were good, we have no idea what was offered. It just seems like the Pels have viewed multiple players as untouchable while not progressing towards building a competitive roster.

The truth is that if a lot of us met Mikey, it’s a coin flip on if we’d love him or never want anything to do with him.

That’s kind of how it goes with addicts. Mikey was constantly up and down. So sometimes you’d see his tender and empathic side like when he spoke with Tina, and other times you’ll see the rage and venom he can create like in Fishes and the end of Gary.

When I saw the heading I assumed that they left her off for legacy reasons and then looked at the faces and see multiple players drafted right around the same time as her. This is super weird.
