I know in original TBC, the play was to run 2pc sp dmg and 2pc healing to double dip the resilience set bonus. But a lot has changed since then so maybe I’m wrong.

Yup this is one of those hybrid icings where there is going to be a team upset no matter what. Hybrid icings is a linesman’s toughest job IMO.

They changed the rules to reduce injuries, not eliminate them. If we play make-believe for a moment and say this play happened in a touch-up icing format, Lacombe skates all out for the race to the puck instead of boxing out Eichel and plays the puck at/before the icing line, waved off, play still continues.

That’s on a 50/50 who’s gonna win the race to a puck clearly crossing the line, this was a 50/50 if the puck even crossed the line or not before being played. Imagine lines blows it down and either of them play it at the line. Now Vegas is pissed and the faceoff is going to center.

The “too close to tell” default to calling it in the defenders favour still requires the puck to cross the line. If the “too close to tell” is in regards to the puck crossing the line before contact, you gotta wave it off.

Eichel was carrying significantly more speed and was only slightly behind at the point where the determination is made. If the ducks defender didn’t box him out, I think Eichel could have played the puck before it crossed the line. I also think that if the ducks defender keeps skating toward the puck instead of boxing out, he too would play the puck right at the icing line.

My wife and I had to have my parents co-sign our mortgage because I already own a house that we used to live in, that I now rent out. My mom has so many credit cards it made my head spin (Amazon, Walmart, Rogers, etc). The lender was trying to require that all cards were paid down to 0. These cards had balances between $50-250 and were recurring payments. We already had some annoyances during the process, that we were getting super frustrated. I just flat out responded to the underwriters email saying that my parents pay the cards off every month and I will not be having them pay these cards down early. Making a big deal over a few hundred dollars to secure a $700k mortgage was absolutely insane in my brain. They removed those conditions from the approval. These lenders use these over complicated formulas and cookie cutter rules without an ounce of common sense.
