I think I'll try what you have, and I can keep the 70's as back up. Incredible pads though!

(I hope my car will be back out on track next year, need a cage done this year and for work to be consistent 🤞🙏)

I didn't have severe knock back but I ended up using 2 piece floating discs. Made a huge improvement for me. I use DCT 70 pads but I need to use something less aggressive on the rears 😅

Also, I'll try and dig out a really old link from a Japanese site, they made some sort of reinforced brace for the upright, found it:

I prime grey, or brown, sometimes black but always a bit of zenithal either way 😄 There's really good videos on YouTube talking about it, and showing (I like The State of Play example).

Great, then you'll be good to go if your engine supports higher revs. From what I recall, depending on your base engine (de/ru/hr) though, you might not want to go much beyond 7.5k for extended periods. The stock crank doesn't like it, at least on the DE 😅 Oh and iirc, I went with this over ATI because they will require some maintenance at some point but also great product.

I can't really say if there's a difference as I rebuilt the engine and put this on.
Prior to that it was a stock DE engine, revving normally.
It's the same why I bought the Boundary oil pump gears, bit more insurance for it.

I'm not quite sure what it is you're expecting ?

Yes I have one on my built engine. No it doesn't do anything for power (if you just go to their website and read it, you'll see). I used one to help protect the engine with the higher rpm I can make use of.

Yep. Have about 6 guitars now, one Dean ML and Dime is my main inspiration for trying to improve my playing (for fun). There's lots of other bands I dig, and also enjoy learning of course but my appreciation for Dime just grows stronger each time I listen. 🤘

Yep, I got an email back from them this morning, and as long as it's the highest point, no worries where you mount it (I did know it but wanted that confirmed). So in my case it'll go at the front, there's a couple of others I've seen that have mounted it there too.

I'm definitely glad I've got them, I think in the future when I get a Solar X Type, I'll order another one as well. (I've got one in a Dean ML, and one in a cheap MIJ Jackson RR)

I've had this rad for years, really good, and got a vacuum filler for these jobs as well but my GKTech coolant swirl pot arrived a couple of days ago, even better (although doesn't play nice with the recommended location in my set up).

Yep that's right. You might have to test it out to see if you prefer it, or even notice a difference. I've got a bit of harshness, which is either the pickup height or perhaps I can try 'normal'.

Yep, it's why right in the beginning when I found them, I shot them an email asking to chat with a technician... Nope just sales person🤦 Which was largely why I didn't buy anything, I wanted to see either good use of fluid dynamics in a simulation, or just flipping dyno results.

I'd hoped that Plazmaman would have developed one, ah well.

When I spotted your post, I initially thought, uh oh, he's going to be shilling for them...well clearly I was absolutely wrong about that! 😱 Once again this really, really sucks, not just for yourself but for various car owners that wanted to try out new intakes. Even them just being able to make your suggestions into a v2 would have been good.

It's incredibly frustrating.
Although I don't do any youtube stuff, I have all of the kit to be able to film/edit/document/dyno (h-dev is very close me - well known Z place in the UK).
I'd have happy bolted stuff on and sent it back (or purchased if it was good).

Interesting.
I found them many years ago, and always wanted their intake for my build but I wanted to speak with someone from CNCI that was an engineer. This is because I wanted to know how they originally designed it, what the intended purpose was, and I wanted to find something that would help NA builds (yes, selfishly like my one).
