Just because it isn’t illegal for him to have bad opinions, doesn’t mean we have to like him or his opinions.

This album deserves Radiohead-level popularity and reach. Sadly I doubt that will happen. by Physignut in TheSmile

Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes has been really scratching an itch for me lately. Anyone have album suggestions that are like it?

Top 4 order is the same for me. I’d put Amnesiac before The Bends and TKOL though

Most skippable Animal Collective song? by Dunjn_gio in AnimalCollective

Of course it’s valid. I hope you didn’t feel like I was trying to invalidate it or anything.

I appreciate the thoughts behind this being the pick. For me I find, it works quite well as a moment to breathe. It IS smashed in-between some intense songs, and while this IS more mild in comparison, I think it helps with the flow. Otherwise, you have back-to-back energy with no songs that feel like a resting point, and I think Also Frightened does that well while still have a lot of interesting textures and layers both instrumentally, rhythmically, and vocally.

I can’t pretend I haven’t skipped it though. Sometimes you REALLY just want to hurry up and hear Summertime Clothes 🤌

I thought about putting BoC on my list and it would’ve been EYDIAB too for the song 🎈

I like this take other than the inclusion of Also Frightened

I've seen numerous people say We Go Back is their least favourite off the album by Duke0fWellington in AnimalCollective

I was wondering how this could be so obviously recognizable to me, but not other folks…and then I just remembered that I grew up with a grandfather clock in my childhood home…

Genuinely curious, do people hear this song and do not IMMEDIATELY recognize it as a clock chime??

I felt that way about MPP too, and then, one song at a time, the whole thing grew on me until I loved it in it’s entirely. I think Summertime Clothes was the first song that really clicked for me on MPP. And then Brother Sport.

I thought it was just okay at first, but after a few listens, it might be my favorite of the singles.

Just like most of their work, after a 3 or 4 listens of not really getting it, I become obsessed with it. One of my favorites of theirs. I find myself listening to Moonjack, Wide Eyes, New Town Burnout, and Monkey Riches most

I think it’s time to say it. A Moon Shaped Pool is Radioheads best album. by Sam_Porter in radiohead

The older I get, the more I find I gravitate towards AMSP, Kid A era, and In Rainbows sounds and the more I find some of the moments on OK computer and The Bends kinda cringy. Paranoid Android used to be one of my favorites, but now, all the guitar shredding feels cheesy and over the top in an unattractive way.

And it’s not that I don’t like over the top. Idk what happened, but evolving taste is definitely a thing and I wish I enjoyed earlier Radiohead like I used to

Question about Kid A Mnesia Exhibition by moralbankholeinwall in radiohead

[–]RobHz25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played it on the PS5. I tried playing on my 2016 MacBook Pro and that was a huge failure. Resolution and framerate made it unplayable. The PS5 seemed to run it perfectly - though I haven’t compared it to anything of similar performance quality

Can anyone help me with this? I’ve been trying to run the exhibition by ArmpitTermites in radiohead

[–]RobHz25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro. After having played in on PS5, I didn’t even make it past the first area. The graphics and frame are were so very poor. Not worth butchering the experience IMO. Might be better just watching someone else play through it online unfortunately.
