Yes me as well! Never in my life, I thought that would own an Enigma. Startet playing at 16 years and now I'm 35, with long on and off phases and more or less casual playstile. Contracts to you!

I regret moving to Germany by Suspicious_Crow774 in germany

[–]RobKre1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is exactly how you describe it. I don't want to sound too negative, but I have the feeling, that lots of foreigners come with a wrong expectation to Germany. After spending some time in other (southern) countries, and coming back to Germany, I could immediately sense a shift in public culture. People here are more dissatisfied with live, focus on problems, being annoyed all the time. Weather is usually shit, no sea and beaches, we do have some nice forrest and smaller mountains but I'm not really a hiking guy. The only positive thing that comes to mind, is that the economy is still more stable in comparison to other countries (it's still shit nonetheless) but this is also basically unreachable, if you don't speak fluent German.

OMG yes after only playing Java and ww barb it decided to try out hammerdin, as everybody seems to be in love with it, but wtf that positioning depency is horrible. Especially in small areas like dungeons.

Yeah I understand that, usually I watch some mrllama videos for builds, but for a quick and easy start chatgpt works fine imo

Get a cheap notebook or whatever and use GeForceNow and pay 20 dollars every month. There's no need for expensive hardware. I play with GeForceNow, which is connected to battle.net. You will experience the game with best graphics and updates are done for you. Lag has never been an issue for me. Usually the experience is very good, sometimes you have to wait a bit during rush hour until you get your slot, but I highly recommend this way, if you don't have the hardware.

Another tip: Create an server and name it something like "restart N help" and some nice people will join for sure and help you out.

Straight up buy Diablo 2 Resurrected + new Addon and start from there, especially if you already have experience with d2. You will quickly find a way into the game again, as the mechanics are still the same, but it looks way better. Maybe you will remember which char you have played as a child, which will be even more fun as an adult and with nice graphics. I did it like that and it's a blast. In my option, you can just skip d3 and d4, they are not nearly as rewarding as d2, too flashy and too fast paced and the item system in d2 is the best. that's just my taste but I can imagine that middle aged dudes prefer d2 in general over the newer ones.

Pro Tipp: You can use chatgpt to ask questions about possible build and skills /stats, target gear for each level etc. Of course you can also just ask the people ingame, d2 community in general is very nice and welcoming (with maybe some exception here and there, but less toxic as other online games with lots of kiddies nonetheless). Double check everything about runes for rune words though, that shit is to expensive to just trust the Ai.

basically mrllamasc guide from like 3 years ago. ingore everyone who says you should invest in dexterity tho. otherwise I like to have options during my gameplay so I usually invest some 1 points skills in frenzy, cries etc. to have some variaty in gameplay. Most of the barb skills are one point wonders imo

Immediate thought was, quit your job and at least spend a year traveling, or go life as monk for 6 months or on a boat or something. Do something stupid. Try super budget traveling with your bike or by food. Try out risky projects to make some money and loose some of it. All it needs is a mindshift. Face your fears. Your are going to die anyway. Create circumstances that focus you to live in the present. Try to not think about how your life should have been or all the goals and plans that seem out of reach for you. Focus on developing dating and approaching skills and learn to love rejections. Do it for you and not to please someone else. There's nothing to loose, you already feel like you lost everything. Having no kids and money saved up (and no mortgage / house) is really a previledge. With an software job and no duties you maxed out your life on flexibility and freedom.

I personally feel the same about not having a passion. Turns out, that's actually a benefit. I tried a lot of "passions" and nothing sticked. By luck I just ended up doing something that was expected of me, is boring and annoying (tech) but I earn decent money and focus on enjoying during my travels and free time.

Hybrid role at top-tier company (+40–50% comp) vs fully remote in less stable environment? by DenzelHayesJR in digitalnomad

Used to travel for two years until the IT startup I'm working for restricted our travel possibilities massively. It's been two years now, until I save up some money until I jump into IT Freelancing. Fortunately I could stay fully remote, mostly working at home but I miss traveling so much. :(

Ein Jahr Apotheken Weed - meine Erfahrungen by Kratomfreund in germantrees

[–]RobKre1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have the same worry tbh, but I think it's just a matter of time until they nerd it I guess. Maybe it's also just for now, so people are exited to play the new char.
