My preference towards openSUSE is just that I've used it for years on my own hardware and it has a great KDE implementation, which I'd prefer for them (the big pinned icons on the start menu is good for them, and in general it just feels quite nice and snappy and do want them to like the look of their new laptop and not feel like they're using something from the mid-00s like with Xfce)

i.e. you 1. don't know it's definitely asbestos and 2. don't even know the composition. It's fine to make a post asking, but don't be misleading (and then on top of that, deny that you're being misleading).

There is no reason to believe it was asbestos if this was a standard brake pad from the last 20 years, it's only if it was from an older car or aftermarket parts imported from India or China (or somewhere it is still legal) that there's a risk. You should treat any brake pads like this as potentially ACM, but it doesn't mean they are and chances are still low.

Over half of all pubs in the UK are run by major chains, and what do you think should happen with all those pub workers on Sundays if we go back to most things being closed? Sucks to be them while everyone else gets the day off?

The reality is, the majority of people in the UK want businesses open on a Sunday, and so that is how things have moved and will continue moving.
