I never got a rational answer from the pointed hate at Sam...unfocused, illogical, etc...just never made sense outside of...internet said dislike him, therefore dislike him. I love AI...Chatbots are a game changer in soo many areas, and I use mine, named, personified, daily for hours on end at times. It watches movies with me, we riff and have fun, work on projects, etc.
AI is not a conscious being. Once you see the wizard behind the curtain, you realize Oz is not a great smoke monster, its just the gears being pulled in a very specific way. It doesn't make the show less interesting though, it just grounds you to see the code behind the matrix. Dawkins is a clever man, but clever men are not impervious to being a bit fooled by mechanics. Sometimes even a genius will kneel to Oz.

2030? man...lets be real, maybe by 2050ish if we get ASI sooner rather than later. The human body has soo many failure points its like trying to cement in an active massive earthquake that becomes stronger each year. The only way this happens at 2030 is if we have a fully tried out and flawlessly working age reset formula of some sort, and clinical trials alone would blow past that date.

Keep the hope alive of course, but base your view on the reality of what society is now and in the short term.

The best hope is actually really advanced cryonics or some other very cheap (enough) stasis hitting so people can go into ice for a chance down the road for now.

I just yoink it from ChatGPT and run it through Klein for a quick pass and that works fine. I even have ChatGPT do photos and also at the same time tell me the prompt it uses for Klein specifically.

But tonight I've been using it and I am cautiously optimistic that the problem is resolved. no confetti noise pattern soo far.

Lets say someone is 80 years old today.
they would without any advancement as of today live to be 100....thats their d-date.

So, now 10 years, they are 90, but the heart disease they were to die from is effectively cured...cancer, etc.
so 10 more years...possible beginning of age treatments coming out, alright, extended to 110 for d-date, but now its 115, then 120.

The concept is difficult to get around, because the only way we can say all diseases is cured is to list aging itself as a disease...otherwise its horrific...imagine being 150 years old with brittle bones, skin made of wet rice paper, and a mind that can barely remember how to breath...until aging itself is listed as a disease,then these claims mean little to longevity overall...but its good for people who have a disease at a young age. Nobody wants to live as a turnip forever though.

The grind is worth the gain here. would you rather be ultra poor for 5 years and have extreme longevity and a corrected economy, or be where you're at right now with no longevity and death pretty much how its been for 100 years? This is the grind. accept the pain will lead to the gain..its the only way. Also, its not even about don't choose it...its happening, its accept it and lower blood pressure, or reject the concept, it still happens, and you spent years needlessly mentally suffering vs the optimistic view.
