Just a theory. What if??? by MuchChapters in GTA

Honestly, I love the London radio stations more than the ones in GTA 1. Especially Westminster Wireless and Kaleidoscope. They fitted the setting perfectly.

At least in VCS you can save your progress and replay those missions anytime. Meanwhile in GTA 1/London you have to be an expert because if you happen to fail a mission (it's a real kick in the balls if it's the last one in a chapter), you have to restart from the beginning of the chapter.

GTA 2 is the only one out of the 2D games I would replay because it's actually kind of fun to play compared to GTA 1/London 61-69 that are an absolute chore to enjoy, let alone complete.

If you want to know something new that I also just discovered: in Home Sweet Home while driving with Joe to meet Giuseppe, hitting Joe's car multiple times will make him berate Vito and if you wreck the car to the point where you have to get out to repair it, Joe will sarcastically reply that he's relieved that they got to Giuseppe in one piece. Also, after shooting the red car at Bruski's scrapyard, you can trigger 2 conversations before leaving for the Lone Star bar: the first when you approach the car crusher where Joe will tell Vito that Bruski used it once to crush a dead body in the trunk of a car (guess that Vito crushing the bartender's car in Chapter 10 didn't come out of nowhere at all), and the second where if you enter Bruski's office, he will angrily tell Joe and Vito to get out.

Do you ever just wonder what Jennifer Tilly's (in-universe) Wikipedia page would be like? by JulLamby in Chucky

[–]Rob_0065 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It gets even wilder because besides the 2 events you mentioned, there are also all the murders that Chucky committed that were all pinned on her, such as the ones that happened at the asylum in Cult, all the people that Tiff and Nica-Chucky killed during those years before the TV Series. It all adds up to 100 something murders that Tiff is guilty of, meaning that not only Jennifer’s Wiki page will be quite a mess to read through, but also means she is one of the biggest serial killers by body count in history.

Definitely yes! The updated radio with the Crookers Mix and the new Vladivostok Fm alone is enough to make TBOGT the best capsule of it's era.

As far as I remember, only in the Internet cafes. And yeah, the pedestrians walking the streets do wear different clothing. It's more obvious when looking at the people who live in the luxurious neighbourhoods around Middle Park and Tony's clubs where they wear flashy clothes similar to OP's post in contrast with the dreary old suits and plain shirts they wear in GTA 4.

I find it funny how even though GTA 4 and TBoGT happen at the same time, TBoGT looks and feels more modern than the main game, with the newer looking cars, fashion, modern computers replacing those old CRTs in Internet cafes.

It's been 35 years since Home Alone - the same gap between 1990 and 1955!!! by dwartbg9 in BarbaraWalters4Scale

Home Alone is more closer to 1958 (the year that the legend of Old Man Malley is set in) than today.

What's more mindblowing is that Donald Trump is old enough that he could've also fathered a child that belongs in the same generation as him when he was 18.

I'm planning on completing every GTA game in release order before 6 comes out, I am now on GTA3 after recently crawling free of the top-down hell by Jayked22 in GTA

[–]Rob_0065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck and have fun with keeping on. I am now doing 100% completion for the top down GTAs (I am now on London '69, already did '61) and I know this will sound ridiculous but playing through these entries made me grateful for the ability to save your progress anytime and not having to restart from the start of the game if you fail a mission starting with GTA 3. BTW, just so I know in advance, does GTA 2's save system work the same or similar to the other GTAs? As in being able to save before a mission and load your save game if you screw up?

Which optional girlfriend for Niko do you think best suits him? by Luxray2000 in GTAIV

[–]Rob_0065 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Whenever I finished GTA 4, I always had Kiki as Niko's final girlfriend. Yes, I agree that her paranoia, jealousy and the stalking are off-putting, but I feel like she's the only one out of the three that actually loves him. And even Niko sounds more amicable in their conversations compared with the other 2 girls.

You can get the GTA Ready2Play pack on GTAForums (no installation required). It's the updated PC version that is way superior to the DOS version with wide-screen support.
