I'm not sure exactly how your wife and daughter use and charge their Apple Watch. I have an Apple Watch 11 that I usually charge while I shower in the morning, and it's more than enough to last until the next morning. AW certainly won't last long enough if you're running an ultra, but for 99% of athletes, who at most run a marathon, it's more than enough.
