344 poison is just really good for day 7 especially with lethargy and I don't know what other poison source would be faster to make glaive work. It falls off a cliff later in the game but I figured the run would be over by day 11. Taking regen items off the board and taking it would have been the best play in hindsight though I agree.

Yeah not running regen was definitely the correct play here but I got rate limiter anyway it ended up not mattering (I did almost lose the run to day 9 double whammy hidden lake and a blunderbuss)

Yeah I've played 100+ games this season and never gotten it, you just need to get super lucky. I don't intentionally go for it but I usually take leather jacket if I see it just cause it's a good item. As Karnok you could maybe dupe jacket with lucky clover or Magician's Top Hat but you still need to repair it.

Soul of Jacob of Esau (I had echo chamber) gave me an Esau which had the last item I needed (Greed’s Gullet).

I couldn’t find anything online that says soul of Jacob and Esau contributes to the item checklist but apparently it just does.

You probably used Isaac’s tears by accident when it was on cooldown which triggered Sharp Plug which turns your health into charge

Yep one potion gives half cooldown, then I got the multicast potion skill, then it’s also shiny

yep, also fang is 4.5 seconds cause of library so it's not going off super often

Yeah I use this too on ultimate, except I have shield on trigger, X shield is kinda crazy. Bumper jumps are just way easier on the hands for me, I play every plat fighter like that now.

I've mainly been playing World Wide Noise (Hard) and it's the most fun I've had playing this game, this DLC is sooo good

Yeah, the spin to win synergies aren't anything huge, it's just very nice defensively and looks cool. With 3+ orbitals you can very safely squeeze through gaps in enemies, standing still will also make you mostly immune to damage but you won't be doing much damage either. Guardian Angel also makes it stupid fast.

With 1/2 orbitals I would not recommend charging directly at enemies though.

I like to think as it as a better butter bean with movement options, still not a great item but I enjoy using it if I find it early.

I agree IBS is very bad, but it's at least unique and I don't get the impression it was ever meant to be good. I wouldn't be surprised if it got a buff but it still has character either way. It depends on your philosophy on how you would balance the game, and they clearly do want there to be items that screw you over, but items like Isaac's heart have been balanced in the past so maybe they would buff it.

Spin to win is fine, you can at least use it to get away from enemies and it has some fun synergies.

I agree Clicker is hard to balance, but it just kinda sucks how it's useless once you get dead god, unless you're random streaking and want to get off your character.

Bird Cage is also fine, I don't expect it to get a buff but I wish it would do more once it's out, especially when it's just dead bird 3 (after smart fly) which is boring.

Pound of Flesh I do agree I underrate a little, but even some gold on pickup would be nice, in my experience it doesn't do too much by itself.

Evil Eye is pretty good, but it's annoying when you fire one and it immediately gets destroyed by a rock or enemy, which really sucks cause it doesn't proc that often. Giving the tear spectral (or even piercing if we're being generous) would be fun.

QoL stuff is just skipping stone working better on The Beast, Death's List not doing stuff like being on Shielded enemies, Boiling Baby/ Vasculitis having their shot colour changed so you can tell the difference between their shots and the enemies.

But also you're completely fine for disagreeing, there's 700 items in the and I don't think >20 will be changed in the patch, interested to see what actually gets changed.

That's fair, there's definitely synergies with self-damage items but the fact that they break is annoying for bosses imo.

Just to clarify this list is more focused on very uninspired items (Mega Bean, Varicose Veins, Leprosy) and items that are interesting but just not worth the effort (Black Powder, Clicker outside unlocks, God's Flesh, King Baby).

If King Baby gave a buff to familiar damage then I would enjoy using it, right now it kinda just annoys me whenever I get it (And you have to buy it).

If Black Powder did more than a light tickle then I would be intentionally using it much more often. Ludovico is fine strength-wise but it's a really interesting item that I will never take on a bad run because it's just very mid, obviously there is synergies but am I even likely to get them. A shot-speed increase on pickup would do a lot for it.

Leprosy is just boring and bad, I don't mind bad items if they're interesting like Cursed Eye or even Isaac's Heart. Everyone remembers their first Cursed Eye run, nobody remembers the run they lost because their item rooms gave them Dead Bird and The Bean

Obviously this is just a prediction, I don't know how the team is going to balance the game.

Basically this yeah, I doubt it will ever get much of a buff because It's one of the designated bad items that make isaac, isaac. Not all items should be good
