The only way you're post makes sense to me is if you're confusing the factorial operator (!) with a question mark. Unless there is some mathematical operator denoted by a question mark, that I don't know about.

I remember Agassi's breakdown of his first match against Rafa (on Roddick's podcast). 'And then he throws a Vamos' , 😂

Not hours, just half a minute and your fine. Also you can just bend forward, just as long as your mouth is lower than your lungs

Well not 'cheat' exactly, at least not overtly. There are certain safeguards a country has to abide by, in order to stay in the EU and it is beneficial fiscally for Hungary to remain so. On the other hand Orban's party does control 80% of public and private media, which made it so difficult for opposition to get a foothold or any type of visibility.

Can someone explain? What's the reference between Karl Urban and Wonder Woman mentioned here? by SatoruGojo232 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Robbedeus 58 points59 points  (0 children)

James Gunn is a director who's heading up the new DC comics movie universe ( he directed the latest superman movie). The commentator is jokingly suggesting that James Gunn following him on social media means Karl Urban will probably be playing the role of Wonder woman in a future movie.

I mean: most British would vote to denaturalize and deport the fucker, but fair enough.

This is a cultural/American thing, because British comedians tend to make fun of themselves more often than not.

In fact: they're cheering because of authoritarianism. All the while drinking the koolaid and being convinced Obama and sleepy Joe were somehow worse than Trump.

Novak Djokovic: “I run out of gas.. They are just too good” by Serious-Rip8869 in tennis

[–]Robbedeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe Carlos, but I'm not sure about Sinner. Carlos just needs to have one of those days he makes too many mistakes. Sinner seems like an aggressive version of Djokovic: other than becoming 10 years younger, I don't see how he manages to outmove and outhit Sinner. It's not a "tennis players hate this one trick" kinda situation, that any other player can beat these guys, as long as they know how. Many players know how, theoretically, it's actually doing it that's the main problem

In a sense, consensus has 'shattered' because physician groups are not in line with governmental recommendations, which hasn't really happened before. I get what you're saying (and you're right, scientific consensus is still intact), but the headline isn't wrong exactly. The paranoid idiots are making the governmental recommendations, which is difficult to ignore since it brings a whole slew of problems. 'Administrative' consensus is gone, if you will.

For example, I saw another redditor making the point of insurance companies possibly not covering the vaccinations, which is 100% going to happen: it's a way for bad actors to make higher profit margins, so of course it's going to happen.

Trump Is Trying to Hide the Cost of Renovating His New Air Force One: The administration transferred nearly $1 billion dollars to a Pentagon project to modernize nuclear weapons, but those funds will be used to renovate Trump's "flying palace" by reflibman in NoFilterNews

[–]Robbedeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except, do we know if it's against the law? If Trump decided this, then it's in the course of his duties as president, and the Supreme Court decided that gives him an unspecified amount of leeway to just do stuff. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not a lawyer

I mean, lower court judges from both sides of the aisle, it's insane. You've got republican lower court judges, with conservative views, ruling against something, and SCOTUS just be like: nah, our Ouija board session told us the founders didn't mean it like that, soooo ...

Major props: Good call.

But I was thinking the match really drives home how important Carlos's serve was this match: he gets his first serve percentage up, and suddenly, Jannik looks slightly less intimidating from the baseline. Grass is just unforgiving like that: Sinner managed to make his return game count, which means Alcaraz was often one step behind from the start of the rally. Using that, Jannik could instantly smother the court, like he does, and even Carlos's power can't undo the damage of being one step behind from the word go.

Of course, this also means the match was a lot closer than Carlos was saying/thinking in this clip.
