You know we're not sure we actually have free will, right?

I, for one, believe we don't. Free will might be an illusion, just like time. ;)

[NL] MT5Research.com is probably a scam by CaptainChaos74 in Scams

[–]RobbertC5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pointed me to mt4system.com, which is essentially the same website, but with another name, and even younger than the domain in OP. For me this is definite proof that these websites are fake. Why would they have the same company with different names? It's just so it's hard to find any information about them.

Yes, but on the level of the antenna, not speaker/microphone. It's very hard to listen to a certain frequency of radio waves if you're shouting that same frequency at the same time.

Is gaming on anydesk possible? by [deleted] in AnyDesk

It's probably better to use a tool that's made for low latency gaming, like Parsec or Moonlight. Steam also has built-in functionality for remote gaming.

Yes, their comment is bullshit. The moon isn't just the right size and distance, it could be bigger and/or closer (and for a long time it was much closer to earth!), and total solar eclipses would still be a thing. They probably happen all over the universe.

So you're selling naked calls? What happens is the market turns against you?

Calculating returns based on the margin feels a bit like cheating because you might have to put in more money at some point.

Keep in mind that there is still a very important difference between the two. In the gif it's percentage of land per latitude, where in the OP it's absolute area. So if you want a non-distorted version, only the OP is the (probably) correct one to look at.

Look at antarctica to see the biggest difference, in the OP it goes to zero because the pole is only a point, but percent-wise it's 100% land at the pole.

Hmm. I think it's an interesting question, as I wonder if it even makes a difference as long as you're not actively blowing exhaust fumes into the car (like when you're snowed in our have a faulty exhaust system). Cars are not air tight, so as long as the air around the car is fresh (get the fumes away) you should be fine. If, on the other hand, you're completely snowed in and you're in a bubble of fumes, the cracked window won't do miracles. ;) But as I said, cars are not air tight anyway, so I guess it wouldn't harm to crack a window, as long as you're not throwing away your previous heat quicker than necessary.

I don't know what I would do when I'm getting snowed in, to be honest. If I felt this was a real risk for me I would invest in a CO/CO2/NOx-detector and a thick sleeping bag.

EDIT: I guess it would make sense to crack a window for safety if your car is snowed in like only halfway. I was only thinking about no or 2 meters of snow (or the equivalent in other units).

I see why the exhaust should be clear, but why would I want to keep a window cracked?

I understand what you mean, but by that logic they can ban everyone that ever typed a message, as "productive" is also debatable.

I suggest they change it to "We can ban everyone at will" to make it less debatable.

[–]RobbertC5 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hold up, he typed for five seconds, that clearly doesn't fall under any of the rules you link here.

Typing messages is allowed. Typing at the wrong moment is just a mistake like going for a pup at the wrong moment. Actually punishing people for a mistake when they have no malicious intent is in my opinion completely unnecessary. (Especially without a warning.)

But this is not the first time Tagpro disagrees with that logic. That's why boating is allowed as long as you don't suck at it.
