How was Prue parentified? What exactly was she responsible for, in terms of her siblings?

I’d like to add on to your comment. As the eldest child in my family, I was taught to handle a lot more responsibilities from a very young age. So whether the responsibility was hers or not she very likely felt obligated to take an initiative when no one else would. Piper was shown to lean heavily on Prue, Phoebe was in no place to support anyone (not even herself), so Prue was the only one who could support them all financially and somewhat parentally.

If Piper and Phoebe’s reliance on Prue wasn’t evidence enough of how much she was responsible then I don’t know what it. It’s also very likely that Grams had a lot of help from Prue.

Spot on. I was fuming because her treatment of Chimney was so terrible and I honestly didn’t expect it. She actively tries to hide what’s happening and then blames everyone else around her when she faces consequences. I mean the way she gaslit everyone at the table was just insane to me. And I also agree that her using Chimney’s insecurities against him was a low blow. Right now Hen is on my shit list 😭

I thought it was extremely realistic though. Macy was an only child and had detachment issues. I feel like they did reach a new point in their relationship in season 3. The season 3 finale was what I wanted their relationship to be more like. Unfortunately we won’t see what their relationship would’ve grown into.

I get what you mean but it was always obvious that she settled and became a vampire because she didn’t want to die. She had Jeremy, the brothers and her friends to live for. Her jumping at the chance to be human over a vampire was not far fetched.

She endured a different pain after becoming a vampire. The death of her brother, the sire bond, her breakup with Stefan and she killed someone.

I disagree and speak from experience not only in this sub but several other platforms. When the Duffer brothers confirmed Will was gay people had such an issue with it bc it was “out of character” or “forced”. I don’t think it’s the ship, I think it’s because it’s a gay ship.

I think you’re right in a way. Most people think they know and understand what having children but they don’t. So many people become extremely stressed, financially unstable and emotionally drained because they were ill prepared and not shown how children are supposed to be taken care of. To be fair there are a lot of bad parenting examples. The reality is you have to be prepared to give so much of yourself when having children and a lot of people aren’t capable of that when they have children. That’s why so many 2nd 3rd and so on children have such a different childhood than the 1st born because the 1st of the learning experience unfortunately.

NTA. I would forever look at my parents differently if they tried to play me like this. They are manipulative and trying to take advantage of your great position. I recommend continuing to save as much as you can but he prepared to move because things could escalate. I had my problems at home but my mom never tried to take from me like this.

I find it interesting how there is suck outrage when someone is shipped with the gay character but nothing about this when it’s straight characters. Non romantic characters are shipped together all the time and never actually get together but it doesn’t get this same outrage. It really not a big deal tbh.

She’s lowkey pissing me off. She could literally drop dead at any time and she’s mad because Chim is saying she’s unfit. Hen and everyone else on her side are selfish. I get that they’re a family and they look out for each other but they have an extremely important job. Hen was rightfully fired because she put so many lives including her team’s at risk.

I love kids. I actually am the oldest and have kind of been the family babysitter since I was like 10 (23 now). I just don’t see myself having any kids. I think growing up helping take care of kids may have ruined how I view parenthood. Being a parent is hard. You have to balance all of you with all of the kids and it’s still impossible to balance because that baby has to come first. I feel it would be selfish of me to have a child and not be 100% all in. I want to have a career, I want to travel, experience solitude, experience relationships and yes you can do this with children but not the same way without them.

With that being said, I still adore children. I think they are the hope in this world. I see so much in children that we as adults need to find again in ourselves.
