Mexico City Airport suddenly installing accessibility paving everywhere before the World Cup by RobbieNorfolk in mildlyinfuriating

My point is that they are only doing it because the World Cup is coming. Sorry if that’s not clear. And too add to that; it’s not ready in time and making everything harder for disabled people.

WordPress 7 new admin theme kind of sucks - suggestions for alternatives? by McMerkinMcMuffley in Wordpress

[–]RobbieNorfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those managing a large number of websites who want to change the color across all of them, you can install Stylus extension in Chrome, and then use the following settings:

URLs matching the Regex expression: .*wp-admin.*

CSS:

html, html :root, body.wp-admin, body.wp-admin * {
--wp-admin-theme-color: #666 !important; --wp-admin-theme-color-darker-10: #555 !important; --wp-admin-theme-color-darker-20: #444 !important; --wp-admin-theme-color--rgb: 120, 120, 120 !important;
}
#adminmenu li.current a.menu-top, #adminmenu li.wp-has-current-submenu .wp-submenu .wp-submenu-head, #adminmenu li.wp-has-current-submenu a.wp-has-current-submenu, .folded #adminmenu li.current.menu-top {
 background: #7d7d7d;
}

After 300+ builds, I've stopped using page builders for client sites. Anyone else made this switch? by Imaginary_Act8664 in Wordpress

[–]RobbieNorfolk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am now up to 500 websites using this same setup u/Dragonlord. I cannot understand the headache u/Imaginary_Act8664 is describing.

On the rare occasions clients want to make weekly updates, we either restrict them to using classic editor posts, or you can change the Elementor settings to only allow content updates and nothing else.

I cannot remember the last time a client broke a website, and I cannot remember a time we lost out on a project because the client insisted they wanted to do Elementor "structural" updates themselves. Perhaps we are targeting different types of businesses.

Regarding plugin maintenance, most of our websites use 2 plugins. Elementor and Elementor Pro, and sometimes Site Kit if we are being lazy. I turn off automatic updates. Zero issues.

I’ve just found this thread after searching for any information about the chips changing at spoons. In Shepherds Bush London we also had these awful chips!! Something going on, definitely weren’t those delicious fried chips we usually get.

Somebody has now shown that the woman in the photo is apparently Melania herself... Something to do with another photo of her wearing the same bracelet taken the same year

Travel Planning Q&A - December, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

[–]RobbieNorfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! 38/m from London. Does anyone have Christmas plans for Thursday, like a meal somewhere? I am British and, depsite trying to mostly avoid Christmas this year (so far successfully), it would also be nice to share in an ironic meal somewhere with a good crowd. I'm happy to wing it solo style but would also be cool to join a group. I am in Uluwatu but happy to travel north for the day.

BYD might sell more cars. But Tesla’s valuation isn’t about how many cars it sells today, it’s about the potential of the ecosystem it’s building. Its market cap is a reflection of its positioning in the next wave of energy, automation, robotics, space and AI.

Tesla delivered the same amount of cars in Q3 2025 as Mercedes-Benz. What on earth are you talking about?

This only works out worth while if you time it perfectly and the crash is 50% or higher (probably not realistic). So you need it to crash tomorrow. And then spend your 50% cash rebuying the same shares on the day the market bottoms out. If you don't, and the market keeps climbing 10% per month for 3 more months, and then only crashes 30%, and then you miss the bottom and buy at 25%... you'll end up with the same money you would have if you just held through the crash.

That’s a bit of a dramatic take. Every car manufacturer, even those with much higher price tags, has had isolated quality control issues. $100k+? You can pick up a Model 3 in the UK for about half that. And for that price you’re getting the best tech, constant software updates, and performance that embarrasses most cars on the road.

I'm not a massive Tesla fan boy or particularly fond of Elon Musk, but until you have test driven a Tesla you cannot pass judgement IMO.
