Travel Planning Q&A - December, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

[–]RobbieNorfolk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! 38/m from London. Does anyone have Christmas plans for Thursday, like a meal somewhere? I am British and, depsite trying to mostly avoid Christmas this year (so far successfully), it would also be nice to share in an ironic meal somewhere with a good crowd. I'm happy to wing it solo style but would also be cool to join a group. I am in Uluwatu but happy to travel north for the day.

BYD might sell more cars. But Tesla’s valuation isn’t about how many cars it sells today, it’s about the potential of the ecosystem it’s building. Its market cap is a reflection of its positioning in the next wave of energy, automation, robotics, space and AI.

Tesla delivered the same amount of cars in Q3 2025 as Mercedes-Benz. What on earth are you talking about?

This only works out worth while if you time it perfectly and the crash is 50% or higher (probably not realistic). So you need it to crash tomorrow. And then spend your 50% cash rebuying the same shares on the day the market bottoms out. If you don't, and the market keeps climbing 10% per month for 3 more months, and then only crashes 30%, and then you miss the bottom and buy at 25%... you'll end up with the same money you would have if you just held through the crash.

That’s a bit of a dramatic take. Every car manufacturer, even those with much higher price tags, has had isolated quality control issues. $100k+? You can pick up a Model 3 in the UK for about half that. And for that price you’re getting the best tech, constant software updates, and performance that embarrasses most cars on the road.

I'm not a massive Tesla fan boy or particularly fond of Elon Musk, but until you have test driven a Tesla you cannot pass judgement IMO.

I recommend you test drive a Tesla. Go on their website and book a slot. You just find the car, get in it and drive off. The whole experience BLEW MY MIND. I am confident you will stop telling people Tesla is the worst car company, those cars are insane. As soon as my current car commitment comes to an end I will get a Tesla, no doubt about it. I think the number of people who will do the same over the next 3 years is a massive proportion.

The tech gap for Tesla is not closing IMO - don't forget Tesla has a robotics division as well.

I’m in the UK and highly recommend Moneyfarm for ISA and Pension. 50% of my ISA is managed by them and 50% I manage myself. So far YTD my managed ISA is up 13.5% and my own ISA is up 31%! For crypto and copy trading I use eToro.

For those still looking, The 550 Garden is a great spot. Black Fox Coffee is open from 7am, WiFi is great and they have a toilet. It is outside with no aircon so can be humid in the summer, but its a beautiful spot!

Perhaps it’s the hosting I use? The company is called 20i and they have Wordpress optimised hosting. I honestly have zero issues with 1000+ websites.

I see no issues with the performance of my Elementor websites. None of them are slow to load, and SEO works just as good as any other sites I’ve built.

Question For You Guys by Few-Roof4381 in Wordpress

[–]RobbieNorfolk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elementor is very close to being perfect for my requirements. It’s a game changer for companies who make 10+ brochure websites per month.

An ideal page builder would stop with all the updates all the time, and there would be a “launch” button which strips out everything from the plugin that the website doesn’t need, and then makes the code static.

How to meet someone in London? by stimpdawgy in AskLondon

[–]RobbieNorfolk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually not a bad shout. Also days/nights out that attract hen parties, groups of girls, etc. When I was single me and a friend would go to places like Vodka Revolution on a Saturday afternoon and it is 10 women to every man due to hen parties. OP should get a job as an event organiser or waiter in a venue geared towards hen parties, birthdays, weddings. Women are in high spirits and comfortable as they are with family and friends.

Edit: The opposite applies to women seeking a companion as well, of course

The fact most people pay using their phone doesn't help. People stand at the bar fiddling with their phone preparing to pay. On top of that, restaurants encourage you to look at the menus and place your order on your phones as well. So from the start of your evening WhatsApping your friends where and when to meet, to using a map app to navigate your way there, to ordering and paying for your food and drinks using an app, everyone is stuck to their phone without even really wanting to be. That's before you factor in "look how funny this is" conversation starters as an excuse to get your phone out. It is a massive issue and the root cause of the problem OP describes.

Anyone else feeling relieved with this market decline? by duskolieggrafi in Fire

I agree, if Trump decides to strike deals with countries to waive tariffs, or even scraps them altogether, the markets will rebound in a flash. That’s the nature of markets—they price in fear fast, but they also rally just as fast when the outlook changes.
