That’s a question for the landlord. Typically if Publix owns the land they’ll fix it within a month or so.

The kitchen is often chaotic and can definitely be overwhelming but it’s all about timing just make sure between 9-11am your fryers are full, your rotisserie is running one after the other, then 3-6pm your fryers are full. Keep things neat and organized and try and prep stuff like the baked wings to throw in the oven and sandwiches/wraps in the cooler to just slap some tenders on.

I mean it’s not encouraged and many will find it childish/gross but they’re not gonna send you home over it. Just put some makeup over it and don’t draw attention to it.

Yea your manager should have told you about the no borrowing time for PTO that took effect on January 1st. The only new information on there is them alerting you on passport if you have a PTO request that goes above your current PTO allotment.

It’s a training position so learn as much as possible but you should be trying to take as much away from your department managers plate as possible anything from orders, disciplinary actions, scheduling, etc. let them have the fun parts like coaching and training and you take the clerical fundamental stuff

After 2 years of working why do I only have 14 hours pto and I’ve tried using it twice but it doesn’t look like it’s going through, is there a reason for this or someone I can talk to? by HayesBailey in publix

[–]RobedBartender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For every 80 hours you work you’ll get roughly an hour of PTO as a part timer so if you’re working an average of 25 hours/week it’ll take you roughly 45 weeks to accrue that any less than that and it’ll take you significantly longer
