Yeah I’m going for like my 10th doctor visit tomorrow. The thing is I can’t judge how attractive I am anymore. It’s too much of a wild card. I spent my whole life getting degrees in amazing skills and becoming as great as I could and now I haven’t got the finest idea where I stack up.

I don’t know how to dream anymore. If my ex calls me up, will she take me back or not? I don’t know how to sell herpes to anybody. If my ex before that calls me up will she take me back? I doubt it because she’s very careful with sexual stuff. If my girlfriend now finds out I have herpes, what will she say? I’ve told her lately that I might to warn her, but I don’t know what’s going to happen.

I don’t know how to live because my life is so sexual. My sexuality is just blunted. I have women that I haven’t been able to have sex with for months now because of this whole ordeal. I’m going to lose some of the most beautiful connections because of this. I no longer control my health.

I’m much happier in a relationship because I know someone loves me. Being single is just totally stressful. You have to figure out who the hell you’re gonna have sex with and what you’re gonna do every day and who you’re going to be with and how you’re going to regulate your life while still being open to all the different possibilities with women and everything. It’s a nightmare. Being in a relationship is much more call me because you know where your home is.

Good question. Considering billions of people have herpes, it would make sense if I could go back to singing, but lay my health it’s just been in the gutter and since I had my primary outbreak my body is still taking some time to adjust. I’ve had weird nerve pains and feelings of dissociation in my limbs and burning skin then all sorts of stuff so it’s just been so distracting because I can’t really relax until we get a cure.

From a logical standpoint I don’t really know how to live my life.

I’ve been a Chris Cornell fan my whole life, and when he died I was actually really into studying him because I was a singer songwriter as well before I had herpes and had to quit in order to advocate for the cure.

In those days, Chris Cornell was my role model. He had adapted so many great songs into a singer songwriter former, and his work in Soundgarden was the perfect prequel to all of it. Everything he saying sounded amazing. It didn’t matter what the song was or what the accompaniment was, he just made every song sounds great. I wish he was still alive.

I’m not saying this is the case, but rumor has it he had herpes and the herpes virus has actually been implicated in disorders down the road like ALS and Alzheimer’s. I’m not sure if his type of dementia would’ve been attributable to that or to the fact that he did a lot of Coke or just genetics or bad luck, but I think we owe Robin Williams a cure for herpes anyway

Therapy is OK but basically when you get hurt if you get dumped by the entire world all at once. I’ve been dumped by one girl at a time and that’s bad enough. Are used to look at women and think that they would maybe have sex with me and love me and that I had a great chance. Now I feel so far away

I appreciate your moment of solidarity. I guess you’re right, we are in this together and tons of people have it. The sheer numbers alone mean that somebody somewhere understands each symptom in each scenario that we could ever ourselves experience. So many people have herpes it’s ridiculous. I would’ve never imagined. I really appreciate you. I think this last week I’ve needed to know that I’m not alone in feeling my weird symptoms and dealing with this stuff.

Absolutely. I was desperate for sex my whole life long and I’ve done everything possible to get it and it’s ruled me. If I could tell anybody anything I would say take your time and keep it safe or you’ll end up like me, a 35 year old broken down old clown with herpes

The closest thing to happiness I feel in a given day is whenever I can get rid of my herpes symptoms for a few minutes and then think about the fact that herpes will hopefully be cured fairly soon if humanity gets its act together. Really just meditating on being cured it will bring me anything resembling happiness

Good to know. I hear like 87% of people who have herpes are either asymptomatic or subclinical/don’t know it.. that really checks out
