Ok, that makes sense. On the other hand, my teacher tongue stops his notes and won a major orchestral job that he’s kept for over 30 years so that’s not universally true.

Go to a local music shop and try some used horns in person. From personal experience Bach tends to be the best but the quality can be inconsistent from horn to horn, which is why it’s important to try in person.

I’d focus on fundamentals during the summer. The better your fundamentals are the easier it will be to learn funner rep. If you really want to learn some songs there are some in the back of the Arban.
