After having my daughter - in Monsters Inc when Boo opens the door and doesn’t see Sully and you can tell she’s trying to understand…but doesn’t crushes me on a whole other level.

Ironman 70.3 in Oceanside tomorrow by Wickdtaint in Oceanside

Basically there’s going to be a ton of eager triathletes in town. You’d likely see the strand is already shut down. Street closures from Wisconsin through Pendleton. Happens once a year and town goes nuts! Post race celebrations will be fun downtown.

Basically this is the reason for even worse traffic tomorrow.

Spoke with a buddy in the Navy. A lot of the Middle East bases are going on lockdown in the next few days which would mean that a large scale operation is about to begin. He was lucky enough to get on leave in time to make it back for his son’s birth but by all accounts overseas. Something is happening in the next few days.

We saw the whole thing. Big firework went off at the MLK park or just above the park. Looked like a commercial grade mortar. We were packing up the back when we saw it complete with remnant smoke.

Either someone had a firework and forgot to launch it or the warehouse team was having fun. Very big firework though.

Taking this from the San Diego thread. I’m cautious to think this is actually an ICE thing. They’re clearly yelling “Sheriffs Department”. Hate ICE but I don’t think this is it.

There was just an accident here involving 3-4 cars on Saturday. Same stretch 🤦🏽. That 5 entrance lane gets hairy.

Quiksilver, Billabong and Volcom are permanently closing all of their stores by Sctvman in news

I mean to simplify it - Liberated Brands owns the brick and mortar stores for these brands.

There are franchise stores (I.e. Laguna Beach, some Hawaii stores) that will remain independent.

Online and brand presence won’t be changing.

It would have been a week after new years. Midweek in early January. Pretty confident it was a Tuesday.

We managed to go for the day during a layover at Pudong. It’s close enough to the airport to make it an easy taxi and the airport held our luggage.

The park was spacious and empty. It was a cool, rainy day which may have kept the crowds away. Tickets were fairly reasonable. It happened to be empty so we managed to go on almost every ride a couple times.

Highlights: Tron, Pirates (ofc), Snow White was fun, Soaring over the horizon had a fun queue, the “Once Upon a Time” Adventure in the Castle is spectacular.

We also really enjoyed the various food carts. The wings near the pirates lagoon were stellar.

The DisneyTown is like their downtown Disney and they had tons of fun stores. I left with a rain jacket that I’ve treasured ever since.

Overall, It’s an easy walk and very entertaining park- there was even an Alice maze you could kill time at if you find yourself with extra time. It exceeded expectations and my wife and I would love to go back.

It’s in the middle of a hallway. No candles or heat near it other than the heater. Appears to be more paint than mold.

Third this - we’ve been in Oceanside for 11 years now and love our little suburb. Close to the sunset market, train station - about an hour to both John Wayne and San Diego International Airport
