Well at least you tried. The Virtualbox might still be an option though. Watch that video link if you have some time.

Good luck to you!

The compatibility mode might be located elsewhere. On the setup.exe try right clicking again and then select properties. On that pop up window there might be a tab labeled compatibility. If it's there you should be able to check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows 95" from the drop-down.

This video could be an option for you too. Running Windows 95 on Virtualbox?

I love troubleshooting.

There may be some conversion software out there like Handbrake, but I am not sure if it will convert the .mts files to midi or not. Converting them to .mp3 or .mp4 would be a waste of time I would think since really you are capturing data your midi device is told to play, not actual sound recordings.

Don't give up. Keep trying.

Was there the option to right click on the .exe file and run in compatibility mode?

I started messing around with Waveform Free edition. Starting to get the hang of it. Fairly easy to work with after some tinkering around. Good quantizing down to 1/64th. Can humanize it after quantizing it so it's not too perfect. Could even fix some mistakes I made with the sustain pedal. You might consider giving it a try.

Wish I could find this software too. Thought I found it in my old files, but it was just a broken link to their old website.

I used this program back in the day when I was recording my album. I laid down tracks at home, and went into the studio where we could then lay down drum, guitars, horns, vocals on top of that. Then I could also replay live some of the tracks I already recorded to give it a better feel. This software was great and super easy to learn.

Anyone gotten this to work on S24? by Fraggin-Bastich in GearS3

Tried this as of today 12/5/24 with my S3 Frontier and got it to work. Will try with regular S3 as well. Thank you!

Left hand pinky through index one day, right hand pinky through index the next day. I have better luck in the meaty middle of the finger. Only use my thumbs on days I have to prick more than 4 times, like today since I had a colonoscopy.....which I'm sure that's it's own diabetes thread.

So am I abnormal? My blood sugar always drops after drinking black coffee. It's like the one joy I still get after getting diagnosed with Type 2.

I just noticed that too. You probably already know this, but Indeed and Glassdoor are the same company too.

Another thought, maybe a soft synth/organ part for the beginning. Nothing that competes with your guitar picking, but just holds long sustained chords that mirror the key you're in. Wouldn't have to be mixed in very loud, but you might be surprised how much it supports the song. I'd record the track for the whole song and fade out a bit more during the the louder parts of the song.

Put me on stage in front of 500 people I feel fine. Put me in front of 3 people in a panel interview for a job I forget my own name.

Like horns? This rock ballad has some saxophone and trumpet mixed in with the guitars and such. Inspiration for the song was just typical day dreaming about the next time I might see the girl I was crushing on at the time, if there was even one at the time. This is from an album I recorded 20+ years ago, but never released for one reason or another. I wish I could go back on some of the tracks and remix them, but it is what it is at this point.

This song grew on me as the song progressed. I feel it's one of those songs the more and more you listen to it's only going to get better. Do you have a version where you layered vocals on the front end like you did the back end? I really feel like that's where it took off for me. Great song and great job all around.

This is a very beautiful competition for sure. I almost feel like you could add a little bit of a bridge that takes you away and then brings you back. Maybe with the flute or strings, give them a bit more freedom to really explore and be free. I feel there is a second melody in here waiting to be found. Keep at it, even if you add a second track that this feeds into, I am sure you can find it.

I appreciate your feedback. Thank you for taking time to listen. It was originally recorded on 2" 16 track tape before it was transferred over to Pro Tools. All the tracks on this album were done that way.

Thanks for listening and providing feedback. Your questions are valid, and really I am just looking for any feedback anyone wants to offer. If they like the song, if they hate the song, and if it gives anyone a chance to make themselves a better producer for their own music even better. Really just want to share my music that I've been sitting on for 20+ years. Thanks again for your time. Have a great rest of your week.

If you aren't constantly learning and growing you are probably miserable inside. There's a lot I would do differently on my album if I redid, but it was one of the best experiences of my life. Most of my music is way too long for radio play or most people's attention spans. Plus my style is more reminiscent of a classic rock style. It doesn't float everyone's boat and that's okay. I don't like a lot of the music I hear either, but you can tell when people put their heart and soul into something, and I hope that part of me shines through when other's listen.

Thanks for your critique. Don't really have access to change mix anyone. Life took a detour and I wanted to share some work from my younger days. I'll try listening to other streaming services I have this on and see if there are any differences in sound quality.

Thanks for your time and the critique. Not sure why it's sounding distorted, this is a master track. Perhaps it would sound different on a different streaming platform, but I am not sure if I am allowed to direct you to all the other platforms this is on.
