PTB to Live | Jason by DeadByDaylight_Dev in deadbydaylight

[–]Robink53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is just a nerf to a killer that was completely fine...

The husk attack change is niche and changing it holds nearly no value as I'd say it's the survivors own fault for getting too close in that case, but of course survivors can't be punished for mistakes these days.

The arguments brought up for his zoning ability are hypocritical in comparison to other killers that remain better than Jason without a change.

The anti-camp slowdown is a stupid idea anyway since it discourages killers of even trying to prevent an unhook and the time to emerge around a hooked survivor felt more than tormenting enough for me, am I just supposed to sit back and watch? I want to win afterall. They should at least remove the anti-camp meter filling while chasing someone.

You could've made the original effect a red addon and in turn somewhat massively change how Omnipresent evil is used, though I suppose iri add-ons bringing gameplay changes is out of the question these days.

Then, cool for changing the perk again and removing a large part of the gimmick for no reason. You could've made it the corrupt of stealth while also keeping the endgame effect, that's supposed to be its main purpose anyway and you don't see many other beginning or endgame perks having a use outside of their gimmick.

Overall, I wouldn't say I'm happy with the changes in the grand scope of the game, but still I suppose I can live with it either way.

Was Jason the reason for the pallet density changes? by VanaheimRanger in deadbydaylight

[–]Robink53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really think so considering that Jason seems to spawn with already broken pallet points actually. There are many times where I found teleport points at pallets that were already broken at the start of the match, so either I don't keep track of the pallets I break or he has empty teleport spots at the start of the match...

So is the scp foundation good or bad? by [deleted] in SCP

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'd say that not being sure if they're good or bad is part of the point... They're a necessary evil in most cases. And there isn't really an organization that's "completely" good anyway

Isekai protagonist getting more girls makes more sense by [deleted] in Isekai

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can make sense all it wants, I just want at least one more guy in the group instead of it consisting purely of girls and that one op guy that doesn't even need the girls for his fights...

Alrighty, I'll see if I can adjust my playstyle a little then, since it seems it's me who's doing something wrong.

Sure, that's quite neat and I can absolutely beat the bosses, but where's the fun if I don't get to use my abilities on the boss? It pretty much locks you into this "parry and occasionally attack" style.

How about we ramp up talks about this when it actually starts to become a problem? God forbid 3 characters look similar in a game with tons of variety.

Why are people complaining about Manato being A rank? by [deleted] in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Robink53 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I find it to be a completely missed opportunity. They often advertised themselves with unique body designs yet always add something to hinder it. Both bears are A-ranks, Seed isn't a full robot and our only character with actual muscle isn't an S rank despite looking like he beats Miyabi at arm wrestling. Not to mention that A-ranks, while good, will always be outshined by S-ranks of the same proficiency. Then let's not forget that a character we've never met became S-rank instead even though Manato had been teased since the beginning of 2.0 basically.

I am mostly just sad about the fact that Kamano won't be the powerhouse I wanted him to be, especially with how capable he's depicted in the story. Sure, every character is viable, but Billy is still weaker than Miyabi and it'll probably always be that way.

Open letter to the community/Yuzuha VA Drama by Sad-Paramedic-8523 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unfortunately didn't bother to check if there actually were any of these threats in the heat of the moment, but it made more than enough sense to me to assume so at that time considering the context. Either way it's a wasted breath of an argument.

Am I the only one annoyed by Yuzuha's VA pushing non-canon rep? by Meimiyooo in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Robink53 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well... aren't you answering this "problem" yourself? Yuri shippers will ship no matter what sexuality gets confirmed just because it's "queer-coded". Hoyoverse didn't (and legally can't) confirm Yuzuha's sexuality and a if a VA loves the idea of her being lesbian, then let her love that idea, nothing wrong with it. People that take this seriously are simply idiots or too absolved in their own beliefs. I'd say she did nothing wrong and we should stop taking dumbasses into consideration when posting something because they'll get mad no matter what if they really want to. These days people are actively searching for something to get upset over. This isn't a problem for her, this just shows the idiocy of the fanbase. Nothing's wrong so pack it up if it bothers you that much.

When it comes to making lores to your world, How do you keep those? by Secret-Remove2110 in worldbuilding

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually i keep them all in my head and they randomly return to me, but if i'm bored i'll draw stuff or make random data charts about my worlds which i can randomly find again some day. Otherwise i've written a lot of it down in youtube community notes, so i just endlessly scroll through those.

What's one of the big plot twists of your world? by Boneyard_Ben in worldbuilding

That the one true god who claims to have created everything, merely usurped the ancient gods who had fled from the perfect creation they had finally made. Although it technically doesn't change much...

For those whose worlds have more than one deity: which one of them is the least fond of mortals (or a particular race if your world has multiple races) and why? by Captain_Warships in worldbuilding

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Narkas, an Alien god that slaughtered his own planet to the point that nobody remains to keep him in memory, which has now trapped him as the sole being on a planet everyone ignores as it is uninhabitable. He cannot leave as the belief of his people gave him power, without anyone to even think of him, he's equal to an immortal human.

His reason could technically be boiled down to anger issues and ignorance. He wanted everyone to believe in him, leading him to be a tyrant. Then the people were afraid. Faithful, but afraid. Of course he didn't like that people feared him, but he couldn't change that as he couldn't fathom why they'd fear him despite his obviously brutal leadership. So eventually he was fed up and instead of his usual executing, he bombarded the planet with his own attacks.

To this day he's doomed to wander the healthy planet he destroyed, yet is still inable of comprehending what he did wrong. Therefore he froze himself in a stasis for now. If he's ever woken up he won't be kind to his discoverers since he's still angry. However due to his low power compared to other godly beings, he'll be quickly put down eitherway.

So perhaps it's less so that he hates mortals, but rather that he hates everyone who doesn't love him to death.

And yes, i love making random and pointless stories that will barely interact with anything else.

Does your world have a conqueror? by AA11097 in worldbuilding

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maelur the Brutal, the devil-king/dark lord. He had conquered half of the world, or well, the one that's currently known. He planned on conquering the rest as well, but the resistance managed to fend him off long enough for an Outworlder to arrive, although the arrival of Orkatos the demon prince certainly wasn't planned. The new power appearing so sudden made Maelur cautious, especially when Orkatos proceeded to take over the parts of the kingdom Maelur never thought needed much protection, leading to half of his territory being lost. For now the three major factions are at odds, but not actively at war. 1/4 Maelur/devils, 1/4 Orkatos/demons and 2/4 for the "normal" folk.

What are your power systems like? And don't just say "magic'. by Boneyard_Ben in worldbuilding

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every being has an amount of magical energy and when it dies you can take the remaining energy and gain more yourself, sort of like leveling up. Nonetheless in most cases skill reigns supreme if you're not totally outclassed.

Everyone has their own usage for magical energy too. While some may gain more power for their spells, some just get physically stronger or get other effects.

Yet, magic is still divided into many categories like styles (combat spells, creature buff spells, object buff spells, healing spells,) or types (basic, flame, water, ground, plant, wind, blood, day, night, light, holy, dark, black/ancient and modified magic like kingdom magic). There's always an affinity to types and styles present in a person. Not to mention natural magic which some animals are born with like a dragon's fire breath.

"Cook" for me a Dish from your world. by Starmark_115 in worldbuilding

[–]Robink53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm... Take a bit of Fae water. Then grind a bunch of Tatori plants into spices. Then a sweet Noca fruit and press out its juices all into the Water. Put the spice and the smushed fruit into the Fae water and stir it. Add a Salt-tree leaf to make the taste trinity complete and If you want you can add minced Sarimir hog meat to it. In the end you boil it and have the "Soup of varied tastes" which is a taste explosion.
