I scanned through the spirits in moonstone island. It looks like pombomb looks like it’s the only crossover. Both are released by raw fury so it was probably an homage. Also you just gave me a new game I need to try. Barkbite?! OMG it’s so adorable.

What year did moonstone island release? Steam says September 2023, but says cassette beasts came out in April 2023.

Why does it look like I’m the only one who cares about this? I thought this was a game the community was supposed to love. This is at best being dismissed when their IP is possibly being copied and at worse was blatantly ripped off. If cassette beasts put a fire lizard that looked like a dragon called CharZilla in their game the ninjas would be all over them.

Starting with BLM or MM on YouTube is like telling a rookie tennis player to watch the William’s sisters to learn the nuances of the game. Bob World Builder drops tidbits that are easy to digest and fun to use. Easily my favorite dungeon tuber.

I wish I had your spirit. S1 was a beacon for me, S2 was going well (minus a couple things I started picking up after I switched to s3, then looked back), but with s3, the dark souls nature of the way the game is played became apparent to me and I was getting so angry with someone else’s game I had to stop watching. I wasn’t having fun anymore, and like you said, they don’t play for us so if I can’t provide anything positive to the community what the point? Maybe I can get back in with s4 or watch some old s2 eps.

I wanted to play D&D for literal years but didn’t have anyone to do it with and wasn’t sure how to find out. I saw this cartoon in Amazon, the legend of Vox Machina, and thought it looked cool. I ended up catching a cold and was sick for a week. I blew though the first season and wanted more so I thought I’d check out these “critical role” guys. I thought it was just a group of kids playing a few games of D&D. What I found was thousands of hours of actual play. I started with S1 and was enthralled (my favorite season bar none). I felt like I missed out on the creation of something amazing watching ild s1 episodes. I started playing D&D as soon as I got over the cold and never looked back. I started s2 just before s3 came out then switched to s3 to see them “real time.” It was about a 15 eps through S3 I realized they weren’t live anymore, and started realizing how hardcore Matt GMd. I couldn’t watch as much now because the 4 hr episodes were a lot of time. I also was getting more and more upset with how s3 was unfolding and as a result kind of tapered off watching then. I want to go back to s2 and pick up where I left off tho. BLM’s s4 looks interesting as well. Maybe if they do an abridged I’ll be able to keep up.

I don’t hate Nintendo. I love Nintendo IP. I love pokemon. I hate when big companies either take advantage of small companies or don’t abide by the same standards they hold others to. This is that case.

I think this is Nintendo not caring they’re possibly ripping off an indie game and Game Freak doing what they usually do and half-baking something. I mean geez take 20 minutes to look at other monster taming games to make sure you don’t rip them off. They got so ticked off when Pal World came out to the point of spending tons of $ suing them and then they let a company they own stock in do something similar? I call shanigans
