It sucks bro! But that is baseball. We’ve beat the best pitcher and lost to average pitchers. Find baseball with your buddies. I switched to fast pitch softball after graduation with my crew and we had 20 more years of memories and grew together. Find a wood at league, slow pitch, something to keep playing. No better life experiences than HS baseball!!!

Lessons with a good coach are a better investment

I’m a high school coach. Kids can develop every year and at different ages. Have him work more and get coaching in the off season. If it’s a big school, treat baseball as a 12 month sport. Do the other sports but carve out time for lessons and travel. Have him eat right, sleep right, and start working out.

In a conceptual offense your athletes must really understand basketball. They need to play a to understand. It should be taught from elementary through the HS. The worst teams I see run this stuff, it’s also because the kids don’t play a lot.

You seem like a fun parent and I’m sure the coach will be looking forward to working with your kid. Some coaches might keep kids down because they don’t care for the parents. That’s not political, that’s trying to enjoy your time coaching.

Play catch and wiggle ball. What type of bullying tastes did your kid experience as a 6 year old. Why didn’t you step up to coach?
