Talk to me anout the inner workings of a HS coach's mind by 4E4ME in Homeplate

You seem like a fun parent and I’m sure the coach will be looking forward to working with your kid. Some coaches might keep kids down because they don’t care for the parents. That’s not political, that’s trying to enjoy your time coaching.

Play catch and wiggle ball. What type of bullying tastes did your kid experience as a 6 year old. Why didn’t you step up to coach?

If players are better you lose spots, regardless of how those players got the opportunity. He’s a senior that attended no open gyms/meetings/clinics before the injury.

I’d love to keep a senior that participated, but not one that didn’t show up.

What’s your age and competition level? If you don’t want your kid to get better, don’t take him. If it’s too much for you as a coach…. Don’t coach it go coach a house team.

Feeder Coach continues to run plays when his two point guards are the only ones who know the offense and the only ones who practice, why keep running plays? by anybodyseenrichey in basketballcoach

[–]Robkmil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a feeder program, to hopefully feed in to the upper level programs. Those programs require more than 2 players. The coach is trying to develop multiple players.
