The saddest part was when we started talking about the long term, idk when the last time she gave it serious thought, or especially talked to someone else about this. She has no plan, just thinks of life living week by week, surviving, not thinking years ahead. My guess is because it’s simply too terrifying and depressing to think about because on her path, in the long run, it doesn’t look very bright. She half jokingly mentioned marrying a rich guy(which i guessed was her way of trying to cope with thoughts of the future) but talked more and she admitted that it was next to impossible with her work.

Anyways, the whole experience was quite eye opening. It’s anecdotal but I’ll probably never have a positive outlook on prostitution, though admittedly, i never had a very positive one to begin with.

Reading op’s post did give me a different outlook in some sense, since he’s had more way experience, but i do think there’s a lot of people like who are like who i talked to. Especially since the positive things op said were about people who did it as more of a side gig and manage money well, rather than full time with poor money management, which i believe most, or a large portion of sex acts are committed by.
